Yes … just like you I looked at this unit, read reviews… thought “ at this price , it can’t really be good “! But I bought it hoping it would power my home during an extended power outage. I didn’t have to use it for over 2 years and while it sat covered in my garage I inadvertently damaged it and thought “ here we go…I am never going to able to get parts and technical support “! But, I called DuroMax’s phone number and the call was immediately answered. After waiting a short period a gentleman picked up the call, introduced himself and immediately I was shocked! I could easily understand him, the connection was clear and he was exceptionally friendly. I explained to him what happened, he had me do a series of checks on the unit , told me what he thought the issues were, but wanted to discuss them with colleagues and said he would promptly get back to me, which he did. He relayed to me exactly what they determined I had damaged and within a few minutes my parts were on order and I had a case number to follow up with just incase ! I figured the parts would be coming from overseas but no, he was working in California and the parts were there too!Within 4 working days I had my parts and began installing them. I had a question and called them and once again a polite, intelligent technician absolutely knowledgeable about the product took my call and had me moving again!I got her running again and back into storage waiting for the big test!Well the test came last week. A band of intense storms went through our area dropping trees like weeds. As far as I could see… no lights! So I got the DuroMax and hit the start button and off she went. And, for the next 30 hours she preformed flawlessly! It not only ran ALL of my appliances but the AC during the day and Heat Pump at night. I wondered for 2 years whether she would do what they claimed…. And she did it perfectly.The men and women at DuroMax are intelligent, polite, well educated on their products and ready to help… in or out of warranty! They proudly stand behind their products! I do not personally know anyone in that organization, was not compensated or asked to or promised anything for writing this review. I just wanted you to be assured… it is The Real Deal!

I am VERY impressed with this product. It seems well built. Easy to set up. Easy to use. The heavy duty fold-down handles make it easy to move around. The best features are the dual fuel and electric start. I had a gasoline powered generator for 25 years. In that time I replaced the carburetor several times, fuel line, etc. It is also a pain to lift a heavy 5 gal gas can at night in the dark to refill the tank. I'm no spring chicken so pulling that starter rope on my old generator in the dark in the freezing cold, rain or snow would wear me out. Also, gasoline eventually gums up the works, even if you use ethanol free.A propane powered unit like this one is the way to go. I connected up a standard 20 lb tank, connected my power cable (same cable I already had with an L14-30P twist-lock plug) and pressed the start button. It started right up. In my setup, a 20 lb tank will run the unit for about 5-6 hours. No muss, no fuss, no mess. To me, propane is a lot easier to store in large quantities. I bought a 40 lb tank from Tractor Supply. Have not had a chance to use it to see how long it will run.I've had this unit since early April 2025 but so far I've had to use it 3 times. Each time it has started right up. Recommended.

I bought this gen on black Friday deal and shipped to Africa(Ghana) for my construction company. As a developer, the #1 challenge at most of project sites is access to electricity. I took days searching for a gen for my power tools. This beast has been a game-changer to my company. It is able to power all the tools and also provide lighting whenever we work extended hours.Assembling was very easy. I love the fact that it comes with wheels ; don’t need much strength to move it around .Fuel efficiency is great when using the propane; can’t say same for the gas.In all, I am very pleased with this purchase.I have been using it for six months now without any issues.Stop sitting on the fence. You will never regret this purchase

I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated this time. I was replacing a very good generator with this slightly larger one to power not only my whole house, but also the air conditioning. I'm in Florida, and got hit with multiple hurricanes in 2024. The Duromax XP13000EH is a well built, well designed generator. it started right up on gasoline after the minor assembly of wheels and handles. The owners manual is one of the best, most clearly written of any manual I've received. I really like the electric starter. Push the button for 2 secs, and it will repeatedly crank without further input from you. Customer service was pleasantly helpful (just don't call on a Monday morning!!) So, why not 5 star?Shipping: this unit weighs approximately 234 lbs, and ships in a cardboard box. It arrived damaged. Turns out, the damage was cosmetic, but I didn't know that initially (Amazon did compensate me for the damage. I'm sure they didn't want to exchange this heavy shipment item). There should be a wooden frame around the box for shipping. I've read other reviews also complaining about shipping damage.Propane: It took me a week of troubleshooting to find out why the unit would not start on propane. First customer service told me I needed to purchase an NGK spark plug, if the unit didn't ship with one (later Duromax sent me a spark plug anyway). They also said the 20 lb propane bottle wasn't putting out enough pressure (3 PSI minimum. to start the generator). Next conversation with customer service, they told me to check the spark plug gap, and get a bigger propane tank. Turns out, the unit did ship with a NGK spark plug, but the gap was way off. I adjusted the gap (.20 MM),and it started right up on the 20 Lb propane tank. (Why wasn't the gap set properly before shipment.)i recommend the duromax XP13000EH. Hopefully these few problems I had will not be chronic.
