Voltage display is good, works well, good value

My 12v circuit tester was packed away and with the movers, so I had to buy this one to help install electrical from my motorhome to my tow vehicle. Love this one so much that it'll be my go-to tester even after I get my old one unpacked. Nice features are the longer coiled cord, larger/stronger ground clamp and the ammeter. Also nice that it requires no battery and has an LED light instead of an incandescent bulb. I was able to track down my wiring issue fast. I also used it to test the amperage sent from my motorhome to the 6-pin receptacle on my towed Jeep,then to the charger line circuit breaker in the toad and then from the circuit breaker to the toad battery. I could see it was getting the proper charging amperage all the way thru - not possible without the ammeter. For the money, this thing is a bargain and wish I had it long ago for other projects whenI used the old one without the meter.

I bought this tester a few months ago and have used it on many occasions.I do enjoy the extra length of the wire lead and the strength and connectivity of the clamp attached at the end of the lead.The probe is very sharp and the LCD screen is easy to read.I did compare with my multi-meter and the accuracy is "spot-on".If I had to make a recommendation in the design - it would be nice if it had some kind of illumination upon a live circuit.This tester is for DC current only with a max voltage of 48 volts.Overall-I do recommend this tester for use with automotive or other areas of testing DC current.

If you're like me and try to repair anything to save money, this tool is a must. I frequently use for checking fuses in vehicles. Great for checking draining battery issues. While care is off, you can check for power drain and find what system is malfunctioning.

Nice to be able to see voltage along with the light

A really well built test light . Its nice to have a built in voltage reading, but i was really tired of the cheap test lights always breaking . This one has a nice heavy clip and tough cord .

okay take 2. (ughh) 3 stars becsuse it died after 30 or 40 (or so) uses. and is cheap enough to buy 2 and be better off than with $100.00 overly complicated junk from your local supplier thay might last a dozen times after the average joe (or jill) figures out how to take a simple voltage test. that is before we calculate the excuses the retailer gives instead of a replacement or refund.loved that tester, till it quit testing.....of my several. it was my favorite (but onlu tests voltage not ohms (continuity) or diodes etc .
