Affordable and Effective Robot Vacuum with Minor Quirks
The media could not be loaded. For £215, this robot vacuum is a solid performer. Setup is quick and easy with the app, and it maps the house efficiently. While it bumps into furniture often, it cleans effectively, handling dust and debris well. I should also add that it's quite quiet. The sleek black design is also a plus. Docking station isn't too big, however it requires a lot of free space around it.Pros: Easy setup, good cleaning, affordable.Cons: Clumsy navigation.A great budget option if you can overlook minor quirks.

Bob is great
I’ve wanted a ‘Bob’ for a few years but the good ones are expensive and the cheap ones are terrible. I saw this on offer so went for it.Firstly, delivery was quicker than stated so happy with that.Set up took no time. It’s a simple case of plugging in the docking station in the right place, downloading the app (we already have Tapo devices so it is easily added) and just adding the robot. Let it do its thing mapping out the house then set what you want it to do, at what time and how often.I have a dog that sheds a lot and really thought this wouldn’t be up to the task. How wrong I was. It isn’t powerful but lifts clumps of hair from wooden floors easily. My rug is much cleaner too. The rug is very short pile so I can’t comment on how good it would be on carpet. To do my entire ground floor takes about an hour but it’s an hour but it goes over it twice and lifts so much dirt. The self empty function is fantastic (very noisy) and saves a load of hassle.I can see Bob becoming a lived member of my family quite quickly.

Wonder hoover. Everyone should have
Great cleaner and easy to install. Well worth the money 💰 not to noisy on full power and take my little flat about 1 hour to do but I have it on two to hoover each room so if I only had it on one time it would be 30mins in all and I have had it since December and not had to put a new bag in . Well soon and haven't had to change anything on it and won't have to for a while it looks like from the app. Haven't used the mop part yet but I will soon and I shall update you when I do. If you thinking about getting one . YOU SHOULD...

Unable to map another floor without moving dock
The good part is that I like this vacuum so far. It has good battery life and does a decent job at cleaning. I haven’t tried the mopping feature yet, but it looks good in black. The self-emptying function also works well. However, there’s a major oversight when it comes to setting up and cleaning more than one floor. You can map up to three floors, but you’ll need to move the dock at the same time. So, if you want to quickly clean another floor, you can’t just take the vacuum. Once it’s finished cleaning, it will wobble for 15 minutes trying to find the dock on another floor, bumping into walls and getting confused. The only option then is to manually stop the cleaning. This is a huge oversight, and it’s a shame that the engineering team won’t be fixing this issue. The Tapo forum also suggests that this problem won’t be resolved.Edit: once you’ve mapped another floor, you don’t need the move the dock obviously. You can vacuum another floor but it will get confused and just say “can’t find dock” once it’s finished as the dock is locator on another floor.

Brilliant, love it. Saves me cleaning, mostly
OK, it doesn't do the best job in the world, but I send it out hoovering every day and it keeps general day to day dust and dirt down to good levels. In terms of mopping, again it doesn't mop it just wipes the whole floor with the same cloth, so whilst it's certainly not hygienically clean, it does look better. It's quieter than a regular hoover too, so can have it going around while I'm working. For me, it's brilliant and worth the money. It doesn't entirely replace a proper hoover and mop, but it keeps day to day dust and dirt down.

Brilliant
Excellent device. I already have a couple of Tapo products like light bulbs and strip lights set up and all connected to my Alexa. Works great with the Alexa and the Tapo app is great and intuitive in setting up the device. Does a great job hovering whilst I'm doing another job.

Absolutely Terrible
Keeps stating that the network connection is unstable then loses connection completely. I reset my router, uninstalled the app then reinstalled it and it made no difference. The network issues are surprising considering Tapo are predominantly known for network products. It got stuck on the metal base of my office chair one of those large round ones with the tiny incline. Due to its chunky sizing it doesn't get under a lot of stuff that three other robot vacuums got under without issue, those same three robot vacuums never got stuck on my office chair either. The battery is woeful, I live in a tiny one bedroom bungalow and doing three sweeps of just the living room section the battery had dropped by over 40%, my other three robots easily did three sweeps of the entire property with between 25% and 50% battery left over. This was purchased as I was having issues with my roborock not picking up and it was less than a month old, however I discovered that the cover for the rubber brushes had somehow unclipped itself and once I reattached it suction was corrected. The roborock really is far superior to my first robot a eufy which became faulty after 10 months, an ecovacs which became wildly unhinged after four weeks and now this woeful Tapo. I'm so relieved I worked out what was wrong with the roborock Q5 pro. Needless to say the Tapo is getting sent back less than 24 hours after receiving it and given my experience I couldn't in good faith recommend it.

Amazing!
Amazing! It's so quiet while going around and cleans well. I've not tried the mopping yet. Beware of when it self empties, it sounds like a jet taking off!
