Good Qualtiy.
The material is 100% cotton. A must. The zipper is sturdy and worked as expected. The price was very reasonable for cotton. Material was also a good heavy weight. Not thin. I would definately buy these again.

True QUALITY cotton percale covers!
This is perfect as far as I'm concerned. I sleep on 100% cotton percale (tight weave) and very nice down pillows but also have some allergy issues. I HATE ultra soft slinky style of sateen sheets or microfiber sheets and am 100% sold on old school cotton percale. These covers are very similar to a 300 thread count or more cotton percale pillow case ... but has a nice zipper. Because of the very tight percale weave, it is effective for allergy sufferers. They laundered great ... fit my very large down pillows and fit perfectly into my standard sized cotton percale pillow cases. They are very quiet sleeping and super smooth to the touch ... a true QUALITY product. So ... if my description sounds like they are for you then I predict you will like them. If, however you want something very soft and fluffy ... don't get these but instead get a quilted cotton style. Likewise, they are NOT waterproof ... thank God ... most of those are a bit crinkly sounding but they do make them for those who need it. Ok ... hope this helps .... ENJOY!

The best pillow protectors I’ve found and a great investment for your bedding
Awesome, would definitely recommend! I’m kind of particular about my bed linens, including hygiene and laundering. I’ve always double-cased my bed pillows to make sure none of the pillow’s surface is exposed. This is tedious when change linens, however, and I knew that regular pillow cases didn’t exactly offer impermeable protection anyway. So, I decided to shop for a good sanitary AND comfty pillow protector that wouldn’t break the bank—and these are it. Other commenters have noted some stiffness and discomfort. I’d say that is pretty minimal. In fact, I found them surprisingly soft and comfortable when mine arrived, both compared to other dust- and moisture-proof cases I’ve seen as well as standard bed linen pillow cases. I ordered more for all my bed pillows, which I put on under 1 pillow case. Now when I change the sheets, I just take the pillow case off and put a clean one over the protector, which I don’t have to wash nearly as often, among other benefits noted in the comments.

Soft to the Touch
My pillowcase stock needed some freshing up and I ordered these. They are soft to the touch. The reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 is that the fabric is on the thin side.

It takes a couple of washings...
It takes a couple of washings to get the cotton feel. I remember as a child wearing brand new Levis Jeans. They were as stiff as a board and ruff. But after many washings, you fell in love with your jeans. That is what 100% cotton was like 60 years ago. Most reviews complained about the feel and smell of the pillow protectors. After a few washings I don't smell anything and the cotton gets softer. Don't use bleach on 100% cotton unless you absolutely have too, the threads will begin to break. Cotton is a biodegradable fiber that can handle very hot water but not bleach well. My last cotton pillow protectors lasted over 5yrs. Save the environment, buy cotton. The zipper is of course plastic.

Best pillow cover ever!
I bought a two pack of these pillow covers. The standard size fit my pillows perfectly so that there is no excess. Therefore, my pillowcase fits over the pillow (and case) perfectly. I do wash the allersoft pillow case every two weeks in hot water and on high heat in the dryer (as recommended to get rid of those darn dust mites). I have not experienced any shrinkage or any degradation to the pillow case. I don't have a severe dust mite allergy, but I sleep well knowing that those little buggers are contained and I'm not inhaling that grossness. Ewww! I'm buying two more for my daughters who have severe dust mite allergies. I am hopeful the pillow case along with the mattress case (also allersoft) will help them tremendously!

Get the good ones.
I was glad I paid a little more for these that combat dust mites and other allergens that can make your night's sleep a nightmare. These are easy to use-they just zip on. Easy to care for- machine wash hot often and machine dry high. and finally, use with a pillowcase to further protect the pillow and for comfort. I have also started to replace ALL my bed pillows about every 5 years to combat mold and dust mites and that has helped the allergies immensely. I will buy these again.

A must for Allergy Sufferers
Was Just diagnosed with dustmite allergies within the past three months and told to buy allergy and dust mite proof pillow covers, mattress case and box springs cover to help. The Allergist handed me a brochure for National Allergy and I about crapped my pants at the price.I was delighted to buy these on Amazon for substantially less and have to say I have already noticed a difference. I rarely wake up with headaches, migraines, or stuffy noses anymore. They are easier to care for than I assumed as well.
