Good reader/eraser for the money.
Initial impression of device upon unboxing was that it is a solid, well built unit with a nice long cord. It has a rubber grip surface around the perimeter, which is great for a shop environment. It does not check to see what the battery level is while establishing connection, as a result will state "can't establish vehicle connection" when the battery is too low, even if it could read codes previously.I used it on dozens of vehicles and it worked extremely well for me. Listed below are some of the hiccups and a couple vehicle specific problems that I encountered over several months and dozens of vehicles being tested.Use on 2004 Honda Odyssey, was told by a previous technician that it is a "Canadian" version, but have been unable to verify. This unit used ISO 9141 protocol to establish connection. Did not erase codes and shut off MIL on 2004 Honda Odyssey the first try. Reconnected, re-read code, and it cleared code and shut off MIL.Only on 2004 Honda Odyssey will pressing F1/F2 while in diagnostic screen will attempt to re-establish link to vehicle and will freeze unit. Opening another module(such as readiness) and then going into "diagnosis" will result in unit freezing. On 2002 Ford F350 F1/F2 will read/erase codes as intended, from any screen. 2004 Toyota 4Runner F1/F2 will only freeze occasionally. Unplugging unit and plugging it back in has always reset the unit, so far. While testing the battery on 2004 Honda Odyssey it reports battery is "poor", but the battery has been holding strong for months since the test.2002 F350 with dual battery setup. It is known to have weak batteries, the truck will struggle to start if left to sit for 4 days, but battery tested as "good"2014 Chevrolet Express 3500 cargo van. Encountered "proprietary" and "manufacturer specific" codes, without any indication of what they were. The unit cleared those codes, without issue. Battery tested as "good", known to be a good battery.2004 Toyota 4Runner: Read and erased codes easily. Pressing F2(erase codes) on main menu causes unit to freeze at ISO 9141. Battery test on 2004 4runner was "medium", battery is probably of medium quality. If vehicle is left parked for 3-4 months in cooler weather it struggles to start.2013 Honda Accord: Could not connect to vehicle for DTCs, other code readers could read and erase codes on module, verifying that the OBD port and computers were functioning properly. Battery tested as medium. Owner reports there has never been an issue with starting the car.Overall I am very impressed with the unit and have recommended it to many of my friends for their simple code reading/erasing needs.

Works well
I don't use it very often, but it did work on both of my cars. It has real time data display for various metrics, reports issue codes and can reset codes. I do wish the cable was a little longer so it was easier to position when driving. My truck was showing a service light. This device indicated a slow gas evaporation leak. Online indicated that it can just be the gas cap not properly seated. Which is odd since that is what I tried first. None the less, I guess I didn't seat it enough on my test and it fixed the issue. Cleared the code and haven't see the service light since. That saved $50 - $100 right there. Also, one of my cars had no power. After jumping the battery I could see the voltage on the device in real time and see that it was indeed charging. I was worried that the battery was at the end of its life. The device has a battery quality function, which worked very well. It directs the user to do an engine start cycle and then displays what it thinks the battery's life is at.It indicated that the battery was about mid life. Which is about what I expected for the year of the battery. It gave me the confidence that it wasn't going to leave me stranded and that I had probably just left a light on.Anyway, I would say it works, saved me diagnostics cost at a mechanic and is a good value. I don't use it very often, but it is great.

Works Well, Ships Fast.
Easy to use, easy to read, the information is what you want, the code clarity is fine because by the time you're buying this you've probably gone to O'Reilly's and had them read it for you first. The diagnostic accuracy matches what they told me at O'Reilly's, so that works. The size is great, the updates are fine? I don't know what that means. In my case it's a problem of low-concern that keeps popping the check-engine on and making my cruise control not work and so I ordered this so I could clear it myself until I get it fixed. Solves the problem, was only $20, and came the next day.

I will be getting these for my family as gifts its that good
Met my needs out of the box. Very happy with the ease of use and the quality of the product. you will be able to see what is wrong right off the bat. As a mechanic you will be happy with the information it provides. A must for your tool box

Very handy for old cars
Great little OBD reader. I bought it to be able to check my own engine codes on my 2007 Honda Pilot and though it takes a minute to scan the protocols, it has a simple and easy to use interface and the cable is long enough that you can use it from the driver's seat or standing outside the car.

Great Price, Works As Advertised Out of Box
This has been a really great deal for the price. I've never owned a code reader before but with today's computers and even mini going 20 years back this is helped save us time narrowing issues down to determine if we can fix it ourselves or need to take it to the mechanic. Arrived on time, as advertised and works fine. Great experience all around.
