Pond enhancer
Product is working well. Like the color not too blue but looks good. Too early to tell how the bacteria is working but pond looks really nice!

AMAZING STUFF!
I have a 625 gallon tilapia tank, and within days of setting it up, it had that micro algae in it. It was so thick you couldn't see the bottom of the stock tank, nor the fish. I put this in, and by the next day, it was clearer. By the second day, it was sparkling clear, with obviously the blue dye color. By the next week, blue dye was gone, but the tank is still super clear, and the fish are thriving! It's been 3 weeks or so, and still looks amazing. Couldn't recommend this product enough!

So Far Best way to Control Algae Naturally in Economical Way
Have 1/2 acre lake in High Desert of California. Have been having a constant fight to maintain algae. I looking for most economical (dye with beneficial bacteria in one product), natural method and things have been looking very good for last 6 months since using the product. This product along with lake aeration (2 diffusers- bubbler type-24 hrs a day) have worked wonders on controlling our Algae Issue.Anyone looking to also save money on aeration - build your own and get a pump from home depot. We have AirMax and spent like $2800 and motor when out and they wanted $800+ and I was able to replace with a much quieter one at Home Depot for like $159.99.Lake looks Natural - I use approx 1/2-1 gallon per month.Updated 9/14/19 Been using product for over a year. I been using 1/2 gallon every 4 to 6 weeks and very happy with the color of the lake. I think our lake looks very nature color. The product is dark blue but when the product is mixed with our water looks dark healthy green. I'm not in the Bahamas, or Alaska. I don't know of any nature blue Lakes in California, they are healthy nature green. So I'm Happy. Control your color by adding a little at a time (like a quarter of what is recommended). It will lighted up over time.

Not terrible, but not my favorite
This pond dye simply did not work as well as I was hoping for my pond. I ended up going with another popular pond dye that worked much better. I had to end up using the whole container on a 1/4 acre pond just to see any sort of visible change in water color, shading, and clarity. This may work really well for smaller ponds, but it does not work well for my needs. It is priced well though!

This product really works!
My pond had duckweed and a stringy algae starting to grow all around the edges and I new from last year that it would take over the whole pond. I bought this product to keep the pond clear of this stuff as it became stinky and is a perfect haven for mosquitos to reproduce. I put the dye in the first time using a kayak into the middle of the pond and it completely cleared it of all noticeable green sludge as I call it as mentioned above. I left it too long to repeat the second procedure and I didn't do it from the center of the pond, but throwing it in from the sides. This time it took longer to take affect, but it did after a week get rid of most of the green sludge again. It seems that its necessary particularly in my ponds case to keep putting the product in as the water took in new rain water from a ditch on one side of the pond and when reaching a certain level released pond water on the other side. I had used 3/4 of a gallon because of this - my pond is 1/4 acres and normally would call for less. I believe if my pond was completely self contained and did not have new water coming in and then leaving out the other side, I would need to put this product in monthly from spring to the fall to keep it clear at all times. Another bonus that happened once the algae was cleared was that not only did the smell go away, but the water became completely clear and I was able to see through to the bottom. In 11 years this has never been possible. Thank you!

lovely color if you want a night-like blue
two weeks after using one gallon of this product the pond retains its dark night like sheen that we find appealing. The shallow edges are translucent. Compared to other pond dyes I have used, this one seems to have a bit more of a yellowish tinge in the blueish shallow edges. Does it prevent weed growth? With daytime temperatures in the 40 to 70+ range, there has not been a algal bloom. There are weeds in the shallow bottom, but they do not appear to have exploded/grown much as temperatures have warmed. Whether this is because of the dye, and whether the bacterial digesters are working I do not know.Bottomline, this product appears to be doing its job with regard to preventing a spring algal bloom. If you are trying to eliminate an existing weed/algal bloom, this product may/may not be what you want to start with? It doesn't seem to kill what it is already there.
