I needed a 20lbs propane tank (which is the recommended) for my new firepit table. I’m so glad I purchased it because I cannot find it locally already- only 15lbs. I think it was a good investment because the fill is only $18 which is less than exchanging a 15lbs tank. I love that it comes with a valve that reads the accurate gas reading left. The installation was easy and the weight and size good for a petite woman to carry. It works well and the storage is as convenient as one of less capacity. I recommend it. Invest now and save in the long run.

Stop paying for propane cylinder exchanges, and buy this instead. Propane cylinder exchanges only give you a bit over half a tank full to keep the price the same after inflation, and I was getting rusty, dented cylinders with leaky rubber seals that wasted fuel on me. I bought this one and got a new tank, an actual float based fuel gauge to know how much is left in it (a little better than using weight), and a brand new rubber gasket in the valve so there's no leaks when connected to the hose. The cost to fill this completely, with almost 5 gallons of propane, was around $17 (2025). Compare that to paying $25 for a half full, abused rental tank. A quick google search will find places filling propane at gas and welding shops, RV parks, many U-Haul rental locations, and some alternative fuel vehicle filling places as well. I found a place 5 minutes from my house. The full tank now lasts all summer and more, and with the gauge, I know when to refill it. By getting it filled myself, I just pay for however many gallons it takes to top it off, and not having to run the exchange cylinders completely empty and keep spares outside the house is nice. These tanks can go a decade before they need to be hydro tested, at which time I'd just replace it anyway, not pay for that test, because this lives outside and will be probably rusty and in need of replacement by then.

DO NOT BOTHER!!!! I ordered a 20 and a 30 gallon and both had defective valves. There were 5 other brand new Flame Kings ordered from Amazon at the filling station with defective valves. Not sure how someone can screw that up so badly
