Most people don't know, you aren't supposed to use metal spoons in honey. I think it goes back to the old days when different metals were used in making spoons. But still, wood is better. The acid in the honey won't eat off the finish and leave particles of wood in your honey. Wood is biodegradable as well, making it better for the planet...even landfills. I sometimes sweeten my herbal teas with manuka honey and these are perfect! It has so many health benefits, and honey is the only food that never goes bad. It does, however, get thick. Manuka honey is very thick. The wide end of these stirrers are perfect for dipping out the honey and stirring it into my herbal teas. They fit perfectly into the drawer of my tea bar where you're supposed to put coffee pods. So, they are convenient to get to when I am ready to grab one. I will be re-ordering them as I begin to run low.
