Custom Wall Mount Bracket for UniFi Dream Machine and UniFi Dream Router, ensuring Safety and Stability - 1 pcs

Was to mount, router fits perfectly, clean look.

I was looking for a good mounting bracket for my UniFi Dream Router and this worked out perfectly.

I bought this to replace a UDR mount with a solid top flange. The gap in the front of the top flange and the large slot in back make it really easy to insert and remove the router, even with cables plugged into all five ports. My only quibble is the mounting slots. I’d prefer three countersunk holes so flathead mounting screws would sit flush with the surface of the bracket.The bracket ships with very weird metal anchors that are better for masonry than drywall. I used my own plastic anchors. The enclosed drill bit is intended to be used in an SDS hammer drill, which is a very strange choice. But it is always nice to get a new drill bit for my hammer drill. Most people probably would prefer a round-shank drill bit that fits a standard cordless drill.The bracket is a better design than the one it replaced, but the metal is a bit thinner than I’d have liked. But it works really well and won’t matter to most buyers.Mounting advice: mount the bracket using the slots in opposite corners, then adjust it to be level before a drilling the other two holes.

The wall mount is well manufactured, and holds the UniFi Dream Router (UDR) securely.The wall mount came with screws for mounting on either a wood or brick/concrete surface. A drill bit is also provided for drilling into brick/concrete (although I did not use the drill bit as I fixed the wall mount to a wood surface.)The wall mount only took a few minutes to install. The UDR can be rotated in the wall mount to connect the power and ethernet cables easily. (Note that if an ethernet cable is connect to the UDR port 1, the UDR cannot be rotated easily - however the UDR can be lifted slightly, and then rotated in the wall mount.)The image shows cables in power, and ports 2, 3, & 5 (WAN).I'm very pleased with this purchase.

There is nothing wrong with with the product, but I can’t believe it can support the ubiquity router for very long. It’s heavy and it’s sticks out a long way from the wall. The router is heavier than I expected. Rather than risk the setup, I’m just going to look for a sconce instead.

Sturdy mount. Comes with the appropriate hardware including the drilling bit. Very satisfied. Good to go.
