My birthday gift to me
These knives are amazing and very sharp. I love everything about them. The only thing is i do with that that bag was better quality. The knives are already cutting through it. They are evenly weighted and fit in my hand like its an extension of me.

So far so good.
I've only ever had European style knives. I bought these mostly because I'm told they are wicked sharp, keep an edge and they come with a travel tote. I live abroad and we go somewhat frequently to the coast to an airBNB with a kitchen. The knives and other gear in a rental tend to suck for someone who likes too cook. Having an easy tote with the knives I need sounded great.Got to use them today. I don't know how long the edge will stay, and I'll probably have to figure out how to sharpen, but I normally have to use a bread knife for tomatoes and, obviously, bread.I pulled out the chefs knife (carefully, I cut myself pretty good the first time I pulled it out of the cardboard sheath it came in) and it just sliced through french bread with zero sawing and went through a tomato like it was softened butter. We'll see if it holds, but so far so good. I'm told they are lighter, which may be true, I've never had an issue with knife weight, but it felt solid in my hand for chopping. This is just the chefs knife, I'll get to the rest eventually.

Extremely Sharp
Highest quality I’ve seen for the price. Has everything you need to maintain them. If you aren’t going to use daily you should probably purchase some kind of food safe oil to protect the steel.

NICE KNIVES
Good weight to them, nice to hold in hands, sharp, many varieties of knives. Just can’t figure how to store ALL the knives in the travel case and secure it properly. One either sticks out too far and isn’t enclosed all the way or one of the sets has to be taken out to full strap the case shut. Either way, very good product.

Got what I paid for...
I am a traveling cook and my go to knife roll with all of my knives seems to have disappeared. I needed some ASAP because I leave in 2 days for a job. I hunted, and finally decided to try these. I've never worked with Japanese style knives before. So,that being said, holy crap are these things sharp. I have literally never felt a sharper knife. That is the great part about these. Everything else, meh.The quality, I'll start with the sharpening steel. I almost felt like it was a gag gift. The handle is cheap plastic and the "hand guard" part of it was a joke. Pretty much a flimsy piece of tin that guards 2 spots on your hand about a 1/4 of an inch. The knife roll is complete garbage, I haven't even carried the knives anywhere yet and the blades are poking through. These should definitely come with knife sheaths if they're giving such a garbage case. Also it isn't nearly big enough to fit all of the knives in it without damaging or at least dulling them from rubbing on each other. In my picture I only have 8 of the 11 knives in there. Where am I supposed to fit the other 3? And the other 3 are the biggest ones! The skinny pieces of Velcro to keep it shut have to meet at one specific place and that place is not where it should. It doesn't hold the knives firmly in place so they just kind of do their own thing shuffling around. Again, not cool! Not when they are poking through the roll. The feel, ergonomically, they feel ok, I'm not 100% sold on the octagon handles. The blade doesn't go all of the way to the handle so you can't really hold the top of the blade to control it like you should. If you do grip or try to grip it correctly, the tops of the blade edges are sharp. Price wise, for a last minute "I have to hurry and order something" I think that I would have been just as well off buying the ones that cost $70-$80. I leave tomorrow for a one week job and I'm really nervous about how the will perform, how they will feel in my hand for 8-10 hours a day for a week. I'm almost guaranteeing that there will be blisters. I will update when I get back or potentially after day 1 if I have enough of an option by then.

Perfect knife set for camping!
This is a really nice set of knives... they are perfect for camping or hunting trips. The knives came oiled and in a case for traveling. Once I washed them, I could see how beautifully crafted the blades were... they are stunning! They are also very sharp too! The handles are made of solid wood and feel nice to hold. The set came with cutting gloves, a bottle opener, some fingerguards, and two sharpeners. This is a high-quality set and seems like it will last for a long time... it's perfect for taking on the go in the outdoors! I highly recommend this set... I am very satisfied with it!
