Junk
Second chance item. Arrived with loose item inside. Screws were loose and showed signs of catastrophic failure by burn soot and capacitors blown. Did not connect, had to be returned. Costed a lot to reship twice.Be careful, as these items may not be checked.

Awesome Product Since 2019
The media could not be loaded. Been using the PP60AL with 330 amp panel. Just added a 460 amp panel hooked in series, 85 volts.2, 300 amp hour batteries hook in 24 volt series. Been using it since 2019!

Spend your money on something else.
I've been through 2 of these in the last few months. First one, day one didn't stop charging at the chosen voltage. Came home from work and found my 48v pack at 67v. Got a new one and worked for a little longer than a month perfectly and early one morning the magic smoke came out.

Works ok. 12 months in use.
PROS: It basically works. Good display. I think people complaining either had DOA's or didn't know how to install/use them correctly. Make sure it has airflow.CONS: Only has low and high voltage charging cut-offs. Nothing deeper to profile batteries with.CONS: Wiring for 24v batteries causes a disturbingly harsh electrical snap sound when plugging in the batteries. 12v doesn't do that. No arc whether 20 or 40v solar input setup.CONS: No software seems to work with it across the communication port. Support replies none is available. A remote is offered separately.CONS: Registers battery voltage as 0.2 volts above what it actually is, when measured directly at the terminals of the MPPT with an accurate multi-meter.CONS: Has a positive-ground system. Why? - apparently these are cheaper to build. I would not attach it to a metal surface for that reason; although the back, a heatsink, should not be a part of the unit's electrical circuit, I don't want to find out the hard way.CONS: Can run warm. To mitigate heat, get a pair of 50mm blower fans at 24v. These are inexpensive, and used on 3D printers commonly. Running them at 12v, they will be quieter. Place them directly under the unit so the updraft blows right up the heatsink.CONS: Does not effectively meter power usage. To address the positive ground issue, and the lack of any real metering at the LOAD port, use an 80amp power relay at your battery/load connection, run the power leads for the relay coil to the LOAD port, to use the voltage cut-off feature with your 12v loads. Your inverter should have it's own low-voltage cutoff.Result:You get what you pay for. It does fundamentally work.

It works as advertised
The P60 controller works great. Customer support is outstanding, they answer questions right away, no long wait times.I am dry camping for the summer, I have 500 watts of solar panels charging six 6 volt batteries, this controller only gets warm when the current is flowing to charge the batteries, the old controller would get so hot I could feel the heat coming off it and it was hot to the touch. I am very satisfied with the P60, all the readings are on one screen. I wish the numbers were bigger and there was a back light. Installation was easy and the owners manual was easy to read compared to other manufactures. I would highly recommend the P60 controller.

Need larger wire lugs
The 100 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller needs to be able to accommodate larger wire size, I could only use a #4 wire that runs at105 degrees at 56 amps. The wire is only 5 inches in length, going between the controller and a 100-amp breaker. Also, the SOC meter is way off.

Cool-looking, cheap legit MPPT
I'm a solar rookie but already have 2000 watts solar 1500 amp hour battery bank and 4 charge controllers on my tactical surf unit This one is the best so far. And it's the cheapest, legit MPPT 60 Amp on the market. It powers my solar air contioning! Plus, it looks cool too!8/7/19. Just ordered another one since my Renogy just died.9/17/19. Now have 4 of these!!
