Excellent Value for Money!
After ordering this Pyrex Measuring Jug, it came incredibly fast and was very well packed. It came wrapped in thick, bubble wrap so there was no need to worry about it being broken on delivery. The glass is very thick and strong, so hopefully it will last me for a couple of years to come. Its not too heavy to hold, and easy to use in both the left or right hand. The measurement on both sides are accurate, which is brilliant if you need accurate quantities. The measurement on the glass are very easy to read and understand. It can handle a wide range of different tasks and deals very well with heat, which is a huge added bonus. It is very easy to wash, and dishwasher safe. I have washed by Pyrex Jug plenty of times and the measures still look as clear as they did when I first got it. We have not experienced any problems with this Pyrex Glass since we purchased it.For the price, I would highly recommend this jug to anyone.

The only glass measuring jug, right?
Are there any other glass measuring jugs out there? Probably but I will only ever buy Pyrex. Why? I dont know, but they are good - I have two different sizes, so I must be doing alright.

One or two nods to modern design but otherwise typical Pyrex
Pyrex jugs may not be one of the most glamorous kitchen accoutrements but they are definitely one of the most useful. My parents have owned an old Pyrex measuring jug for something like the past 25 years (or more!) and, aside from being quite a lot more scratched than it used to be, it still works perfectly well. This new jug seems made along more or less the same lines as the old one - they have a similar size, a similar thickness and a similar heft, only the new one has a straight handle that's fixed only at the top rather than the curved, double-fixed handle of old. In most other respects the old and new jugs appear pretty much identical, except that this time around the measurement scales are printed in a fetching red type, as opposed to blue. There are actually two scales, giving measurements in two sets of increments - up to a pint on the right-hand scale and up to 500ml on the left. Both scales are printed on opposing sides of the jug so they can be seen irrespective of which way the jug is facing. The jug's pouring spout has come under fire from some reviewers as being less like a pouring spout and more like a torrential flooding spout, and while you do have to be a bit careful when pouring, I think the same has always been true with Pyrex jugs like this. I don't know if there's a particular reason for keeping them like this, but if they could be made with a less shallow spout, I think this would help matters quite a lot. Most families have owned a Pyrex jug at one time or another and this one continues the tradition very well. I'm not sure that I prefer the single-fixed design of the handle as the double-fixed ones of old, but that's just my preference and in all other respects this jug is at least as good as the old ones. Just be a bit careful when pouring from it!

A classic ~ ml/fl oz
Replacing my oldie, which has sadly gone AWOL, I was delighted to find the same model still around, and, currently, at a very good price, on ‘Add-On’, here at Amazon.★ PYREX®★ BOROSILICATE GLASS★ MEASURING JUG★ 500 ml/1 Pint📝 Manufacturer detail:~ ‘Conventional Oven, Freezer, Dishwasher & Microwave Safe~ (-40°C ~ +300°C)~ Do not use scouring pads/abrasive powders for cleaning’GUARANTEE: 10 year against manufacturer defect ~ detail on the back of the PYREX® multi-lingual label attached (last image refers) that is easy to remove without leaving behind any sticky residue.‘Made in France’ooOooThis sturdy jug is a nice weight in solid clear glass & I particularly like the handle design, which is open at the bottom. The spout is a nice, slim design, pouring precisely what you want where you want, without dribbling down the sides like some others I have tried.❅ SIZE (based n my own):It stands around 11.5 cm tall, with a base diameter of around 7 cm.The top diameter is around 11.5 cm. The overall width, allowing for the handle & spout is around 16 cm.The measurement markers are accurate, in my experience, and are a good size in bright RED in ‘ml’ & ‘fl oz.’, on the outside, handily on both sides for left or right-handed use.[9 images attached]

Pyrex. Brilliant as always.
I know this may sound a bit like an infomercial on a shopping channel, but since buying this Pyrex jug, I've genuinely been wondering how I coped without one before! This is my "go to" container for just about everything. I use it to warm beans, to cook frozen veg, to make and pour gravy, to make scrambled eggs and even once to make a cuppa, just to show my kids what happens during the process of making tea. (I think the TV must have been broken that day!)As far as design and quality goes, it's as good as any half litre jug can be! It's solid. It has a handle. It has a spouty thing. It has measuring markers on BOTH sides (which will please leftys and rightys). It even has imperial measurements for those who insist that the metric system is the new-fangled work of the devil.Once I had used one of these jugs, I knew I needed two. I used it so frequently, I couldn't bare the anxiety while one was sat in the dishwasher waiting to be cleaned. What if I needed beans before the dishwasher had cleaned the last one? Nope, that would be disastrous; I needed a spare one. I'm pretty sure they will last forever and be handed down through generations. Well done, Pyrex.
