Must-have! Works well for poultry!
Must-have in your vet-med cabinet! I bought this to treat my young pullet after an unfortunate incident involving an aggressive turkey (pullet got scalped, tore the skin off the entire top of her head including part of her left eyelid and ear). It's been about 4 weeks, and the skin is 80% regenerated and is even slowly regrowing feathers. This hydro-gel was the most important part of the treatments I provided every 12 hours. I would disinfect with Veterycin antimicrobial spray, douse the wound in a pountry wound healing aid spray, and coat it all with this hydro-gel to keep it moist and disinfected for extended periods of time.It gels up quick and stays moist well when the wound is kept indoors (it dries into a white residue if outdoors, so you need to reapply more often). The fact that it is antimicrobial is very nice, it is convenient and effective. Also no risk of attracting flies/insects like in the case of using honey (or manuka honey) to coat the wounds.

Wonderful! Safe and effective
Love this, used on two of my fur babies on 2 seperate occasions.I bought this because my 1 year old tabby kitty had an allergy to a shampoo. She was itchy and developed a couple of scabs on the top of her head due to scratching, which of course made it worse. I applied this for a few days and in about a week I couldn't see where the scabs had been! It was a little bit of a struggle to get it on, I chose to open the bottle and apply the gel liberally to a cotton pad and then part kitty's fur and apply for maximum contact.A couple of months later my 5 month Husky pup picked up fleas from a vet visit. They were crawling on her face when I picked her up! I was able to treat the fleas with medication, but where her beautiful ears had been bitten, she had scratched bloody scabs onto. It was not pretty, and the more she scratched the worse it got. I decided to give this a try before the vet. She seemed annoyed at the wetness, but it seemed to sooth her a bit. I applied it the same way as I did to my kitty. Within a few days she wasn't scratching so much, and the scabs looked better. 2 weeks later, I cleaned the last of the scabs carefully away with the cotton pads soaked in this ointment. Her ears are back to beautiful and pink like a bunny rabbit! Most importantly, my baby is not suffering. This doesn't seem to be medication: rather, it helps kill bacteria and promotes an ideal healing environment. It is safe for all your pets and is an alternative to harsh medications. I would give this 10 stars if I could! On a side note, I bought the pink eye spray by this brand for a rescue kitten who suffered from a horrible eye infection on both eyes. Took him to the vet and after the Tobimycin and eye health supplements, still no improvement after a month. After a week to of using the pink eye spray, he opened both eyes and is able to see again! I cannot say enough good things about this brand. Thank you!

Saved me 300 hundred dlls vet visit (long story)
This is an amazing product it works fast and itâs easy to apply. My dogs love each other so much that if any one of them has a small cut or a funky smelling ear the other dog will lick them persistently until they have gone bald on that spot. Unfortunately we canât be home all day to keep an eye on them or keep them separated so the problem got really bad in leas than 2 days. Not only was Harley going bald on the inside bottom part of his ear but it had gotten infected and the hot spot was only growing by the minute since his best friend wouldnât stop licking and allowing to dry. I took him to the Vet and he was ânon-complain golden retrieverâ so they said they had to sedate him to be able to shave and clean the area appropriately. Oh and heâs 125 lbs so the bill quickly went up to an outpatient surgery copay. I asked for them to give him an antibiotic shot and requested the rest in pill form and ran out of there directly to the costco pharmacy to get his meds. I went on amazon and read reviews and quickly ordered this product. I got it the next day and started applying it. My non-complaint golden retriever hates sprays or anything that sounds like a spray so I had to clean the area with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and sprayed the gel like formula onto a clean gauze and applied to affected area. I used a cone on my other dog so he wouldnât be able to lick the product off(genius I know) I cleaned the area and applied twice a day as well as giving his oral antibiotics and within the second day I noticed it had started to heal and was beginning to dry up. I continued cleaning and treating for the whole duration of antibiotics which was 7 days and by then his hair was growing back on the bald spot. I not only saved money, which I would have done anyway if nothing worked, but I saved my dog from unnecessary sedation. I now use this for persistent hot spots before they get bad or any cut. Itâs a great price and a fabulous product.

Works Great but Clogs the Sprayers
I love this product. The second my female Rottweilerâs allergies flare up, she licks her paws raw and sometimes her elbows. Iâve also used it for other small scrapes and scratches for my dogs when needed and it definitely seems to help with their comfort and quicken the healing process. I use it along with Vetericynâs wound care spray. My only complaint is that I can never get through a bottle before it starts to glob up and clogs the sprayer. I used to get the small bottle when I had one dog and now get the big one since I have 2 dogs and it never fails. Before I can finish the bottle, and well before the expiration date, I can no longer use the sprayer. This last one, I ended up pouring into a mason jar and am scooping/pouring it on the wounds. Itâs too expensive to waste. This would definitely have 5 stars if it wasnât for the sprayer
