I use this timer to control the on/off time and thus the feed rate of an automatic stoker for an industrial sized coal fired fire tube boiler. The timer fit into the existing 8 pin receptacle plate. The only modification required was that I had to change the wire positions for the control circuit. The functionality of the timer is simple and quite easy to use. I really like having the digital display showing the on and off cycle times. The previous timer was a pair of knobs that controlled a dial and pointer that you used to set your times. You had no way of knowing how much time was left in a cycle. The display is very easy to read. The time settings are fairly easy, my only complaint being the small size of the buttons that you push to change the times and the time units. But that is a very minor issue. The number and unit settings are easy to see. Despite the cheap price, the quality seems to be very good. Only time will tell how good the quality really is. So far it appears to be good. I would definitely recommend this timer to anyone looking for an on off cycle timer. You can set up time units down to the tenths of a second all the way up to hours. I have mine set on tenths of a minute for both the on and the off. So far this timer is doing what I need it to do for a price of 21.99 vs the cost of a industrial motor timer at approx $189 or more. I will update my review if I have quality issues that pop up but so far I have nothing but good things to say about it. Highly recommended!

Got this to repair my pellet stove. I use it to drive my auger. I trued regulating the heat with the feeder slide, but it wouldnt let enough pellets drop in or it would be too much. I used an old power cord and connected directly to the auger and guessed at a good run/pause time and adjusted over time. Now my pellet stove runs great and maintains an even temperature with no hassle. All i have to do now is extend the wires to place the relay in an area where theres no heat. Customer support was helpful once i explained what i needed. UPDATE: I have it mounted in the pellet bin. It ran for about an hour before the timer stopped in the off mode. I had to power cycle it to get it to start working again. We will see what happens next. UPDATE: Having it replaced because they said it's not supposed to shut off. Replacement should be here tomorrow. Will updat once i get it set up. UPDATE 2: Replacement received and installed and it works wonderfully! Does NOT shut off. Ran it for 7 hours and kept my garage nice and warm. Great product and great service! Thank you!

This fella is big but I will make it fit. I am fabricating a hopper to auto feed my ducks. The nice thing about this is you can set it in your hand then plug it into its socket. Other delay timers only work when they are powered up which means where you install this is where you will need to program it. And if it does need re-programming or other maintenance you can just as easily remove it. The only gripe is this is not really a delay timer. Its just an on/off timer.Cheers

This unit works fine, and seems to be good quality , however just fyi for other project builders, the way it works is on for set duration then off for set duration and repeats infinitely when powered. This is not what I needed, in my case I wanted to be able to close a contact and have a delay off feature only. So if you are not familiar with these, make sure you are buying the right one. I didn’t return it because it is nice and may come in handy someday.

I looked around for these locally and they are selling for $115 without the base. This is a great buy!

This digital timer relay has great potential. It is well built and it does work. A two stage timer, individually adjustable, gives you plenty of options. I will use this as a generator time to transfer back to utility power relay. Setting the first stage timer to trip when utility power has come back, but wait for a few minutes before the second timer kicks on to signal the return to utility from generator.Bench testing proves this to work well.The biggest issues with this item is a serious lack of any information relating to the programming and operation. There is a basic wiring diagram but that is all. An on line search located a similar unit with some programming steps.With a bit of trial and error, you will probably be able to figure out some good uses for this unit.Here is how I rate items:5 Stars = Exceeds all expectations, A definite buy!
