Q: i need to use this for a picture. what is the maximum width that can be used on this?

You can refer to the second and fourth pictures to get the specific size. Q: How low and high from the ground can i adjust the bottom resting piece (above tray) where my canvas sits? (for sitting & standing) can i raise it?

The height of the upper tray (where the canvas sits) can be adjusted from 20" (510 mm) to 47 1/5" (1200 mm) high. You can easily adjust the height of the tray by using the metal ratchet under it.
