Q: Can this cut out jewellery and engrave jewellery ?

You can engrave most metals,no problem. However as for cutting jewellery, you are limited to a cutting depth of 0.02 ml.

Q: I've noticed there an atomstack r30 infrared laser module as an add on. can anyone tell me the benefits of purchasing this to go with the x20 pro

The infrared laser is geared toward engraving of certain metal types and plastic. The standard blue diode in not sufficient for gold, copper etc.

Q: It states it cuts 12mm tung wood board - does that mean it can cut 12mm plywood board?

Apologies for the vagueness of this response - the unit is good. Very good. And it does deal with a wide variety of material thickness with time, power settings and passes (patience) depending, like most all lasers. Plywood here tends to have varied quality. We have cut12mm (a shade thinner actually) yes. BUT.. it did scorch the nails out of our chinese hardwood ply - even with the blower on (who knows what wood!) the smoke was mad! The laminations and glue do make things hard work - but like I said, different boards = different qualities. Hit and miss until you find the best for you. We tend to engrave/etch more than thick cut and we haven't tried Tung wood either - it's not something we generally come across up here in the hills! Good luck in whatever choice you make.
