Replacing tweeters in older Sony ssk70ed speakers and these sound great and look sturdy. A very crisp and clean sound and no “tin can” sound. I prefer silk dome tweeters for that reason usually. 7 years in a/v sales and installation,and a decades long obsession, and even I’m impressed. Wide magnet so I had to work on the cabinet but they fit, and sound as good as the one working Sony tweeter I replaced…so it would match the other side. Will be thoroughly testing with some music and movies.

This is a great tweet for the price. Yes, the plastic build leaves something to be desired but the price and performance is hard to beat. Let me qualify some things. Been a speaker builder enthusiast for a few decades and my go-to dome tweets are Morel. I’ve used probably every major brand at some point but for price/performance/power handling this is a tough act to beat. GRS has a clone of this but lacks the power handling this does. Is ut a critical listening tweet? Not my first choice but gets the job done nicely and you’ll not regret using if money is an issue. Just be aware that the terminals are plastic supported, a bit flimsy and I’d use the push on terminal clips vs soldering.

Sound better than my stock tower tweeters. Quick swap and definitely an upgrade.

Mounting rings are very easily broken

These tweeters are awesome!! I blew out some old speakers, and instead of buying whole new replacements, I replaced the woofer and tweeter in the cabinets. My mind is blown away at how much better they sound than the old originals. My only complaint with these are the terminals are not labeled very well, there was just a faint mark on one terminal. I would have preferred a "+" mark and a "-" mark on the terminals, but oh well I have them wired up and they sound fabulous!

I've been using 1"soft domes in autosound applications for 30+ years. One of my all time favorites were Peerless silk soft domes, (which are long since gone).Over the last few years I've tried pieces from Audax, Vifa and a few others with less than desired results.When I needed a pair quick and cheap I gave these a try and was I surprised.These tweeters are smooth and responsive. They have a light transparent sound and are stable at 2500 hz without breakup. They have that classic 80's silk done sound I love so much. Even with a simple 6db crossover at 4k, they sound great!At less than $25 per pair w/ free shipping these are more than a bargain, they are a steal.

The tweeters in my favorite speakers (floor standing NHTs) were blown out by a poorly thought out sony receiver's auto adjustment mode.These are adequate replacements (some modification needed to make them fit perfectly) .Smooth sounding with no strident high end peaks... and no upper range blown tweeter buzz.I am fully satisfied.I can recommend these tweeters .But NOT sony receivers.I can, also, recommend Denon, which replaced the, returned, sony.Enjoy!

Good tweeters. Have them in my 80's/90's house speaker boxes. Original subs. Haven't blown them yet. Just found out one blew today. 3/8/2024. Bought another pair. I like them. Replace the one and have a spare.
