Affordable and Effective
Affordable, easy to use, and effective. We had a rat problem in our chicken coops and barn. They chewed through two of my nice plastic bins to get into our dog's food, which they stole from and peed in. They dug gaps underneath our coops, chewed themselves holes in parts of our wooden barn, and even chewed some of our wiring. Our biggest concern was that we plan to hatch chicks, and rats were underneath the brooder house. Rats will kill chicks sometimes even with a broody hen present, not to mention they'll steal food. We tried snap traps and caught a few, but they don't take care of the nest and they have to be constantly reset. In contrast, we simply set the poison blocks in places that our dog and chickens can't reach, like in the barn sink, on the lower roof, or in the gaps underneath the coops where the rats live. Every time they disappeared we replaced them. After about 2 days we started finding dead rats. We found 1-2 almost every day for about a week before the bait stopped disappearing and dead rats stopped appearing. We made sure our dog's food was moved where the rats were not likely to travel for it until the poison had done its job, due to the comments about Vitamin K being the antidote. All in all, barely over a week to take out what was a messy and expensive rat problem, for $25, is well worth the time and money!!

Would buy again without hesitation
The JT Eaton 704-PN Bait Block offers a reliable solution for those dealing with rodent issues. Its peanut butter flavor enhances attractiveness to rodents, and the inclusion of diphacinone ensures effectiveness over time. While patience is required due to the nature of the anticoagulant, many users find the results satisfactory. Proper placement and adherence to safety guidelines will maximize the product's efficacy.

Worked very well for me.
I was pleasantly surprised how fast this worked. After 3 days the rats were dead. They ate for 2 days then everything stopped. They were in my walls, behind my fridge, under my dishwasher, destroying everything.

Are these the poison bits?
This started out amazing! We had an infestation after a neighbor cleared hundreds of tires off his property. In a couple months we were down to just an occasional rat in the barn. BUT now we have this going on- the green stuff (btw NOT offensive in smell) is being eaten BUT the little grain looking bits are being left behind and we can see more signs of more rats. SO- can I assume that these are the poison bits?

Stay away from the other cheap stuff that doesnt work!!! This stuff kills the big norway and roof rats!!!

Ok
Ok,but takes forever to rid the rats they have to eat a whole lot of it before it works, during that time they just breed more, but Havoc is to expensive so had to try this on my 3td pail so when gone I'll just have to by the Havoc that wipes them out with one treatment.

Peanut butter or not?
Works great but sometimes you need to put some peanut butter on the outside to cover the smell of humans!!

Will take multiple feedings and days. Up to 2 weeks.
The squirrels kept coming back for more, never killed a single one of them and I still seen the cat outside hunting mice the whole time I used this product. I thought all products like these used basically the same ingredients and boy was I wrong. All this did was feed them and make the problem worse because they wouldn't die and now this product had became a food source for them to keep coming back to. I researched and found out why. The active ingredient is designed for a slow kill over time and multiple feedings and depending on the body weight of the animal could take up to two weeks of feedings, what happens is they eventually overdose on the active ingredient. A small mouse would not even die with a single feeding and would take multiple doses, a bigger squirrel or rat would take even more. The problem I have with this is by this taking so long it's a waste of product. You may have 64 blocks but what does that matter if you have to use up to 8-10 blocks per rat or squirrel and 3 or 4 for a mouse?. The other problem is by this allowing a slow kill over time every day they are alive they are able to continue to cause more damage for up to two weeks and breed with others who may possibly not ingest the poison and who will then be pregnant for the poisoned mouse to leave behind his legacy when he dies via a fresh batch. I got a different product here on Amazon called "just one bite bait blocks" and its active ingredients are totally different and more severe and literally designed just as the name indicates just one single dose and the annimal is as good as dead, the difference in results is astounding, a single dose may take a day or two on bigger ones before they succumb but they are fatally poisoned with one dose. If your looking for a slow kill but a safer ingredient if anything else comes across it but will take multiple feedings and days this is the product for you, if your looking for something more serious to kill it in a single dose but slightly more dangerous if anything accidentally ingested it then check out my other recommendation.
