A Reliable Buddy for Range Time
Let me start by saying the PACT Club Timer III is like that no-nonsense friend who shows up to the range, does exactly what you need, and doesn’t waste your time with fluff. I got this shot timer to help track my progress during training, and it’s been a game-changer for keeping my drills honest. What’s Great About It: Right out of the box, this thing is simple to use. It’s got a chunky, durable plastic build that feels like it can handle being tossed in a range bag or dropped on the ground (not that I’m trying to test that theory). The buttons are recessed, so you’re not accidentally hitting them while moving, and the big green “GO” button is easy to find when you’re ready to start a drill. The buzzer is loud—like, hear-it-through-double-ear-pro loud—which is perfect for outdoor ranges or when someone’s blasting away next to you. It runs on a single 9V battery (included), and the auto-shutoff after 15 minutes saves battery life, which is a nice touch. The display is clear, showing shot number, total time, first shot, and last split without needing to mess with it. If you want to dig into split times for each shot, just hit the review button, and it’s all there. I love that I can set a par time to push myself or switch between instant and delayed start modes for different drills. It’s not fancy with Bluetooth or apps, but for $125-$130, it’s a straightforward tool that delivers exactly what most shooters need: accurate timing to improve your draw and splits. Plus, it’s made in the USA with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and PACT’s customer service gets high marks for being responsive if you run into issues. The Downsides: It’s not perfect, though. The instructions are a bit sparse, and I had to watch a YouTube tutorial to figure out some settings, which was annoying. The screen isn’t backlit, so if you’re training in low light, you might struggle to read it. Also, it’s not great for dry fire since the mic doesn’t pick up clicks well, and it can miss suppressed .22LR shots or be finicky with suppressed 9mm. If you’re into high-tech features like Bluetooth or adjustable sensitivity without tools, you might want to look at pricier options like the AMG Commander or ProTimerBT.Final Thoughts: For the price, the PACT Club Timer III is a rock-solid choice for anyone serious about tracking their shooting progress, especially if you’re focused on live-fire drills. It’s not the flashiest, but it’s reliable, loud, and gets the job done without overcomplicating things. If you’re a beginner or just want a no-frills timer to up your game, this is a great pick. Just don’t expect it to sync with your phone or work flawlessly with suppressors. I’d give it a 4.5/5 for its simplicity and durability. Highly recommend for range rats like me

LOUD & Accurate
I was debating whether to get the PACT III, the SG Timer 2, Kestrel KST1000, and the ProTimerBT. After reading more reviews than I care to admit, I ended up going with the PACT III for a few main reasons. The first being that out of all the times mentioned above, everything I read online and watched in videos showed the PACT III had the loudest "Beep" sound of the group. I can confirm, it's very loud and you can hear it with plugs and or muffs on. The other main reason I chose the PACT III is that in my case I really don't need an app to track my progress and splits. I simply needed a timer to time me at the range and add a challenge element to my range time. So far it's been perfect. The one gripe I have are the directions. They are very plain, and the functionality of the timer based on the instructions caused me to go to YouTube to look for tutorials of guys working it on a video. Aside from that though, my timer was not defective and it has worked perfectly at the range so far. Highly recommend this timer to folks who are simply looking for a loud beeping timer with no extras. If you need to track splits and set up separate categories, look to some of the higher dollar competitors like the Kestrel KST1000.

Simple easy to use.
Simple and easy-to-use shot timer. Helps me work on my reaction time and par time when dryfiring and seeing my splits while doing drills. Beep is loud and can be easily heard with ear pro on. Tape the front if dryfiring at home to keep the family happy.

Dang - This thing is LOUD.
Nice timer. Works well and easy to use but a bit too loud for my taste. I muted the beeper with a bit of tape. Much Better.
