Item arrived in good time and was as good as could be expected for the money we paid. The figures are very small so don't expect anything weighty. When ours arrived; part of the latch had come adrift. Not broken, just loose. I was concerned about getting the whole thing replaced in time for Christmas and contacted the seller. Their communication was very good, if slightly delayed by time zones, and they offered a small, partial refund..... rather than all the trouble and time that a return could take.We accepted the refund and, after a small amount of work, I got the latch back together and secured it.Overall, delivery takes a while but the chess set arrived before the end of the delivery window given and after-sales service was very good so no complaints here!

This really is a lovely little set! My son will love it. It's has a magical, antique feel to it. I would have rather it had been slightly larger but because I loved it so much I bought it anyway! For its price, it's spot on!!

Quality set at a decent price.As mentioned by others the clips on the inside of the set to hold the pieces in their storage cause damage to the board so expect 2 small indentations to the board upon receipt.....not ideal if a gift

Brilliant set with great case and heavy plaster type or China figures. Has the feel of a more expensive set. This would cost well more if purchasing in UK so it’s well worth the small extra wait for delivery although to be honest I’ve waited longer for stuff from UK in the past… I highly recommend this as it has a real handmade feel and doesn’t feel cheap and has a special feel to it.

I am a bit disappointed with this chess set. The clips that hold the board into place have made an indent on the side of the box where it closes. One chess piece is marked and a bit of the paper has ripped off on the lid. Wouldn’t be so bad if I was keeping it but it’s a present and feel I cannot give it looking like this.Can you advise please?

It’s looks so hand made the very imperfections make it even more unique. I love it. Yes there is a mark as people show and it’s a shame it wasn’t thought off during production. My set had other marks too but they just add to its look and feel.

For the price this chess set I got for my 9yr grandson is brilliant good quality beautiful detail to box and chess pieces really pleased.
