This battery was a good replacement and worked great. The hardest part was getting the old one out and then installation was was easy. Highly recommend this product!

The first battery sent new in the box fit perfectly in our original ms. Surface book yet, it only would charge up to 45% and after attempting all the troubleshooting steps. I contacted the seller who immediately shipped out a replacement battery. The the anti static bag looked open, so I'm thinking they might have tested it before sending it out this time. It is Installed & charged up to a 100%. and it's been running great ever since It was a decent price for this battery to breathe life back into this older Gen 1 surface book, which I was able to upgrade to windows 11. Kudos for the seller, for immediately shipping out a replacement battery and accepting my return without any issues

The battery is amazing. my laptop used to last an hour or so tops and this is day two using it on the initial charge. That said, i would do two things different - i used the metal tab to open it and sliced the old battery near the front. it smoked (but didnt catch fire). so be super careful around the front of the laptop. the second thing is i didnt bother to buy fresh double stick tape. even heating it, it doesn really stick back together. im using Amazon shipping labels to hold the bottom on now until an order of double stick tape arives. The battery itself is amazing. would recommend

Everything it was supposed to be.

Advice: disassemble your Microsoft Book keyboard and then order the correct battery based on what you see. Opening this beast is really tough, but with enough time, heat and very sharp blades, you can get it apart. There is a YouTube video showing how to take apart the base.

Did not hold a charge after installed by technician.

The battery came well packed - - looks like a quality part. It fits perfectly. So far, working well.The only difficulty was dealing with the tape holding the computer together. I spent quite a bit of time removing the old tape.

The bottom of my Surface Book (Gen 1 from 2016) was starting to separate/unglue so I found a YouTube video and purchased this battery open box and some 2mm double sided electronic adhesive tape. Had the new battery installed within 45 minutes and it works perfectly! The old battery was swelling big time.
