Great game with lots of play modes
Like the 3D terrain and enjoy the many characters to choose from. But most of all, the various game modes provide a lot of variations. The ‘control areas’ base game mode is best done with 3 or more players but the ‘kill opponents and capture a flag’ mode does well with any number. The solo game mode is very different but also enjoyably difficult.

It’s a Kids Game Too!
My 7 year old son loves this game! Take away the tactics cards and this game is perfect for kids AND adults. I have refereed several play sessions between 7 year olds. This game is a hit. They love it. It’s also a game (that as an adult) I enjoy playing. The production quality, game play, and price make this game a must have. Get it!

Big Game in a Small Package at a great price.
Alliances were made and broken within the blink of an eye. As my small party dwindled, I saw a devious grin from my nine year old."Let's Kill Daddy."The war raged on. Down went my wizard, then my rogue. I looked for hope, but there was none to be found. I was defeated by my kids...In Tiny Epic Tactics you are taking a band of adventurers across mountains, forests, villages and waterfalls, all in hopes to gain control and capture your opponents party. Each player starts with a Rogue, Wizard, Beast and Fighter, each with movement, melee attack and special abilities. The rogue shoots arrows. Some may do better shooting from the forest. Some may weaken a player. Wizards have magic with which they may be able to put a curse or heal nearby players. The beast is close combat and deals heavy damage, similar to a tank in a RPG. The fighter is balanced in arrows and melee. On a players turn they will work to either take control of the battlefield defined by three flags, or they will do what we did and just attack the snot out of each other. If all control spots are controlled, or a player loses all their party, game over. Then scoring will be based on the party members a player still has, the ones they captured, and the flags that they controlled.ComponentsThe meeples are cute and well made for their wooden pieces. What really is impressive is the art and the board itself. When you can take the small box that the components come in and turn it into a battlefield, you have made something unique. The expansion pieces are decent in design as well, but pop out a pit after putting them on the original pieces. They do add different setups which add to the replay-ability of the game. Another highlight is the mat that you can purchase. It helps to keep things organized. Our Family's ThoughtsAbigail- it's fun and not too hard to learn. A neat design of how it all fits in the box. All of the different characters make it so you can play it different every time. I also appreciate how if you have less characters you get more advantages. Buy it.Beth- as the characters start disappearing, the battles become more intense and desperate. The pace picks up and remaining characters become stronger in their last stands. I enjoyed this part of the game. I found it difficult to focus on taking control of areas and I haven't tried a balista yet, but I'm sure those would be fun as I became more comfortable with game play. Game play with the 9 year old took a looong time, about 3 hours, due to indecision during turns. Maybe good to set time limits for turns if an issue or stress planning turns ahead of time to best of ability. Try it.Chris- This game works on different levels. Not only is there a competitive mode, there is a 2v2, solo and 2 player co-op that players can enjoy. There are chances of King-making in competitive mode, but it is worth the purchase. Buy it.Daniel- it is a fun family game. I love how it is fantasy with wizards and rogues. I like how it is big but fits in a small box. There are different ways to play it like co-op or co-op teams. The artwork on the cards is awesome. Buy it.Elijah- It was fun, me and daddy teamed up because Abigail was trying to attack me and Daniel was going to too. I killed Daniel's sorcerer and Abigail's swordsman. But daddy was not being a good partner so I killed him. I liked shooting arrows and killing people. Buy it.Our Family gives Tiny Epic Tactics 4.6 Arrows to the Knee out of 5.

Just a fantastic series of games
Was a fun little game and totally worth adding to your collection. I intend to own all the Tiny Epic games. I have Tiny Zombies, Tiny Tactics, Tiny Kingdoms and the expansions. Just need to buy Galaxies and Western.

2 player co-op not worth it…
We really purchased it for me & the hubs to play the 2 player co-op, and that play style seems very broken. The enemies seem very OP… they auto-hit, auto-move, auto-respawn… you can’t enter dungeons if there are any enemies on top of the structure, and you really need multiple heroes to enter each dungeon. We haven’t gotten together with the rest of the family to play the four player free-for all yet, and that may work better, but if I had it to do over again I would pass on this one.
