Bought this for my fingernails
After reading a lot of bad reviews on white nail pencils, I bought these. They sharpened well, Point didn’t break while using, and gave a nice subtle whitening.

Good fabric markers
These are the best fabric markers I have found at a reasonable price. I only gave it 4 stars because the lead, or whatever it is, is very soft which makes it easier to mark the fabric but difficult to sharpen. I would recommend that when you sharpen them (I use the old school manual sharpener) be very cautious as it will break off the soft inner marking part of the pencil. So don't push it into sharpener hard or you'll lose the center of the pencil. As for marking fabric they do a wonderful job and because the center is soft your hand won't cramp up applying pressure. Overall, these are the best affordable marking pencils I've tried. I highly recommend them for quilters but just be careful when sharpening them.

My favorites for quilting
These pencils are my favorite for marking quilts. They don't work on every color, but the silver works great on light fabrics and the white works well on really dark fabrics. This is one of the very few pencils that I can really get out with just a damp cloth. Be careful not to iron over the marks, however, as that seems to make them much harder to get out.Because it's a color and water soluble pencil, it is rather soft and needs careful sharpening. I've found the best sharpener for this and all my color pencils is a hand-held where you can control the force of the blade. My favorite sharpener for color pencils is the Clover sharpener. It's made of metal and shaped like a thimble. Try not to get too fine a point on the end if you can manage - you want it just a little blunt at the point. A super-fine point will break right away and take much of the exposed "lead" with it.

Works great on fabric and felt
I do a lot of machine embroidery and have been trying to find something that is easily removable and can mark centers on dark fabric and felt. I have purchased other chalk but the one I bought is thick and the lines were always off center. I tried this and it has worked great! It marks felt easily and the line is thin so it is centers easily. The chalk comes off with light brushing with a toothbrush or dampening your finger or a cloth/towel and wiping.

good sewing markers
I am just getting into sewing and needed something simple. You need a pencil sharpener to sharpen to use, and the silver sometimes crumbles under pressure. Good for the price.

Perfect quality, Mark very easily!
I LOVE these pencils, not only do they mark extremely well without having to use hardly any pressure but in addition the are easily sharpened with a pencil sharpener. As you can see there is. I breakage in the wood.I tried both the white and the silver and they both perform equally well. The chaulk stays long enough to quilt and has almost disappeared by the time I am done quilting the section (white pencil). I used the silver pencil on a different project that I did not handle as much during sewing. The silver line disappeared easily by simply washing it out by hand. I will most definitely purchase these pencils again!

Works great
I had bought several different pencils for my quilting stencils and none worked until I bought these. They work very good. They stay on and wont run off until your ready for it to come off then it will come off with water. I highly recommend
