7th Heaven: The Complete Series

I absolutely love this show. I can't even think of one show at the moment that has good family values, and it's just an all around pleasant show to watch. For me, it's my 'comfort food' when times are bad.I had to give this less than 5 stars, due to the disc problems, which absolutely pains me. I don't want to steer you away from purchasing the series, but here was my experience:1) The package arrived the same day (thank you Amazon!), and purchased directly from Amazon (not third party);2) Seasons 1 and 2 are in a box set/bundle (as you can somewhat see in the product picture), but the other cases are individual shrink-wrapped seasons, with multiple discs per case;3) Some of the discs in the set were clearly damaged, despite no damage to the parcel;4) Season 2 appeared to be accidentally cut with a box cutter, but a very straight, precision cut;5) Season 3 was crushed, probably at the warehouse. Pieces of the plastic fell off. Disc 6 of that season was too severely scratched to play. It also was not shrink wrapped for some reason;6) Season 6 was also not shrink wrapped, and shows some signs of finger prints and scratching;7) Season 7 was -- get this -- completely missing. Yes, the DVD case arrived...but no discs were inside. It was just an empty case!There may have been more problems, but after discovering season 7 to be completely missing, I stopped at that point and requested an exchange. I'm hoping the replacement arrives okay.Thoughts:For fans, I wish this was a proper box set with extras, etc. I'm not sure why only seasons 1 and 2 are bundled, and the rest of the seasons are just individual DVD cases with about 6 DVD's stuffed into each case. On the one hand, it makes it easier to store so many discs, but on the other hand, it doesn't offer much incentive to buy the whole series. You could more easily just buy the individual series, one at a time.And I suppose at this point in time, we have to talk about the elephant in the room: Stephen Collins. I notice on the streaming sites, people have been voicing their understandable anger after the revelations of Mr. Collins' admitted inappropriate behavior with some young women a while back, calling for a boycott of the series. I personally am not going to let one actor's past ruin an otherwise fine show, nor do I think it's fair to the other actors to be denied their residuals (if they even get any from these types of purchases?). In any case, I don't believe he's a monster, he has publicly apologized, and I personally am going to move past that and just enjoy the show as I remember it. He'll always be Reverend Camden to me.At around $99, this is an excellent price for a whopping 11 seasons, and a special type of show that doesn't come along that often.

Five stars because I loved this show as a teen and now watching as a parent, it's just as good and like watching it new because of the different perspective. 😊Also, the packaging! First off, I don't like reviews that taste low because of damages. I think it's unnecessary because Amazon refunds or replaces your product! The only issue I had was every season has 6 discs except the final season which has 5. Since it's odd, the last disc is by itself on the casing and it just happened to be detached. There was a spot for it, so it wasn't just there to linger. It just must not have been tight and came loose completely. It works and there are no scratches. If there were, I'd simply return. I'm just sharing to let to check the discs when you receive it.Other than that, love the packaging. It's clean and organized well. I'm glad to have it as a box set instead of every season in an individual casing.

I returned the first set that came in because there were read errors on four episodes. I changed players three times. Still didn’t work. Not a scratch on any of the discs with the errors.Returning was easy. Received the new set and guess what. Same episodes had errors and nothing wrong with the discs again. Returning wasn’t an option anymore, so I got screwed out of a total (when I finally finished the entire series) of nine episodes.

Packaged ok but had a duplicate of season 8 and season 10...there were not discs in the case once I removed the plastic. So I had to order season 10 separately. To return the entire set would be ridiculous since it was only one season that was missing. This happens to me a lot so I will no longer order whole series. Yes I will pay more for buying each season but atleast I wont have this problem.

I love this show and definitely give it 5 stars but I don't like how parts of episodes are completely cut out in this set! For example, in season 7 episode 15 "I Love Lucy", there's a scene after Kevin proposes where the twins receive a birthday cake that is completely missing. I wonder what other episodes have scenes deleted... this type of thing upsets me up when I'm supposedly buying the complete series and paying over $100! This review is for the complete series that was released in Oct 2017.On the plus side, I didn't receive any missing or damaged discs.

This is one of my favorite series. I met Catherine Hicks at a Star Trek convention, she was in the Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home movie, and she is just like her character Annie in person. I had my photo taken with her. While in L.A. in Santa Monica I went by & took pictures of the house used in the series. This series is a who's who of actors who were on the show and continued their career after their stint.

I have this on individual seasons but been trying to get my shows on complete sets so when I saw this I knew I had to get it. Came in great shape and super fast too. I’m extremely happy with this and can’t wait for my daughter to get older so I can show her a great show that taught me so many life lessons as a child

I am very satisfied. I gave up satellite TV in October of 2017. I watched this everyday on a station that came with my subscription. Once the satellite was gone I was unable to tune in. I bought the whole series so I could indulge whenever I wanted to.

Was a surprise Xmas present for my fiancée. She was thrilled as this was one of her favourite shows in the 90s. Was really fortunate to find this rare box set for the price.

Ho atteso a lungo che pubblicassero un cofanetto dell’intera serie, ma in italiano sono uscite solo due stagioni. Poi dopo tanti anni ho trovato questo disponibile su Amazon e dopo averci riflettuto ed essermi adeguatamente infornata l’ho comprato nella versione da 185€, certa che fosse regione 2, perché così mi avevano garantito, ma purtroppo è regione 1. Assicuratevi di avere un lettore compatibile con i dvd americani. La spesa è considerevole, ma se amate la serie ne vale la pena.

I think it very good

Loved this when it was in production. I never got to see the finals years. I like it glad I bought it. It came quickly. No problems with the discs. I love the everyday family drama that hits close to home with raising my kids. It is fun, family friendly, good story plots each episode. Nice plots woven in n over the entire series and the bring some people back. Nicely done! I wish regular TV could be as wholesome family friendly, moral and funny!
