Poor QC
I understand that these are definitely a value brand, after all I'm getting two of these adapters for less than most sell for one. That being said a little quality control never hurt anyone. I almost broke one of my XBOX's controller ports(okay, slightly exaggerating) before I realized that one of the two adapters I was sent had been assembled up-side-down (the side that plugs into the XBOX has a concave dome that indicates 'this side up', however it was actually the bottom on that one adapter). Other than that they worked for what I needed.

When you're trying to back up your save files or soft of your Xbox these are a must.
They are great for my purposes of keeping my original Xbox save files alive using a flash drive as a memory pack.

What exactly is "compatiable" hardware?
I'd really love to know what qualifies as compatible with this adapter, since I tried 2 PS3 controllers and 3 PC controllers, all confirmed as working on their own platform, and not a single one worked on my xbox when attached to this. Since this was an order for 2 separate adapters, I was able to test on both of them and confirm that it wasn't just a QA fart (unless they were really sleeping on the job and issued two duds in a row).I get it, the description insists that you must "Hook up COMPATIABLE [sic] USB hardware" for this adapter to work, but if they're going to insist on that, how about giving us a bit more info? A generic USB PC gamepad didn't work. An 8BitDo PC gamepad didn't work. A PS3 gamepad connected via USB didn't work. What exactly qualifies as "COMPATIABLE USB hardware," anyway?Nothing I own. All five of my tests, each from a cold console boot, failed. (Meanwhile, my existing standard xbox gamepads work fine.) Both cables are going straight in the bin. Not worth the trouble of returning. Caveat emptor.

As advertised, worked great!
The orginal Xbox modders dream. Definitely need a few of these laying around if your still running the OG Xbox. Quality solution over making your own and can be used to integrate into controller to add a USB I'm the memory card slot.Worked as advertised, fast shipping!
