Dogswell NUTRISCA Grain Free Dry Dog Food, Lamb & Chickpea Recipe, 4 lbs.

Thanks god Amazon sells this brand!!! I just relocated to Florida from Seattle and nowhere sells this brand. I called every pet store in area and even the company. They closest one was at least 3-4 hours away from me.My one pup has a very sensitive stomach. A few months back before I relocated, a friend of mine recommended this brand. It was of course sold at the local pet stores there. Since I've moved, I've been trying to get my pup to readjust to something I can pick up locally, instead of the hassle of waiting for shipping.We tried every brand, even the top of the line ones. Nothing worked. I couldn't stand to see him in pain during his bathroom breaks. So, I bought it off of Amazon. I figured I'd need to give him a week at least to see whether this brand will make him feel better. And to my surprise he was doing much better 2-days later. I was shocked.Despite the 2-day prime shipping, it was definitely worth it. I bought the 15lb bag first in case it didn't work, and now I'm regretting not getting the max size. Oh well! As long as he's (my dog), I'm happy :)

Our Westie has trouble with itching that we have found is related to diet. This is the only dog food that he can eat that completely resolves his itching. We'd used this dog food for awhile and he was good, so we decided to try another dog food that was a little less expensive. He soon began itching again. Once we switched back to Nutrisca, within a week or two his itching had stopped again and it hasn't returned. This is definitely worth the money.

My dog's absolute favorite! He was never formally tested for allergies, but just seemed to be itchy and licking his paws a lot. He also picked at his old food and would leave a little trail of food from his bowl that he didn't want. His vet recommended we try changing foods. I chose this food because of the high protein content and lack of corn and gluten. It's also reasonably priced (compared to similar brands). My dog stopped licking since the change and I realized that he really must have hated the other food, because he will devour this. He also prefers the lamb to the chicken, so just be forewarned...apparently the flavors are distinct. He will refuse to eat the chicken flavor (which I bought when lamb was out of stock). Just be careful when opening the packaging from Amazon. The 4 lb bag fits very snuggly into the Amazon cardboard box and I've cut the bag more than once when scoring the tape seam of the box with a pair of scissors!

I have ordered different flavors of this brand and my dog loves it. I mix it with wet for him so a 12 pound bag lasts couple of months. The package this time came in in an air tight and sealed bag that is great to keep it fresh till used.

If you have a small dog. This is the best food you can get for them. When I got this food my dogs were struggling with fleas and hair loss. One of my dogs was gaining weight and was depressed. The chihuahuas have been on the new food for 3 months They have shiny coats, they have energy and they are very happy. I highly recommend this food. I like that its grain free and it is a balanced food. I think your dog will like the taste and the energy it gives them. I do have one thing to say Dogswell, PLEASE stabilize the cost of the food. in three months I have paid three different prices on the 15 LB bag and I would love to use Amazons subscribe and save program so I can just expect a bag at my door every three months for the same price every time. I have a bichon who's nearly twelve years old and nearly all of his life he's had problems with itching, he was constantly scratching and biting at his skin, I had no idea that it was the food that I was giving him even though it was a very high-grade food it still contain different kinds of grains that he was allergic to, I found out from his groomer of all people who told me to switch his food to nutrisca because it's grain-free also potato free, I didn't know that the potatoes was causing him to have yeast problem is that was breaking out in his ears and the pads of his feet swelling and causing itching and biting. Now he's able to eat I have no problem with his skin breaking out or his itching and he loves the taste of the food.

Simply stated my dog is very picky we have tried over 35 brands of dog food and he will eat this and not starve to death...most other brands he will literally starve himself for days until we give him a big salami. I actually taste test dog foods myself since if I'm going to give it to my dog then I should test it first on myself. Great quality, sad to see that it did change ownership but that is the capitalist society we live in. Worth picking up if you can get it at $11.99 or under. Will buy again.

After reading about the issues with Beneful, I switched my dogs to Dogswell Nutrisca Lamb and Chick Pea. They love it and are perfectly happy to eat it dry instead of mixing it with canned dog food as I did with Beneful. There was none of the usual loose bowels or upset tummies associated with changing dog food. One thing I did notice, since this dog food doesn't have fillers, my dogs bodies are consuming all they eat so less to clean up in the yard! Also ordering from Amazon is a snap! I can order the 28 lb. bag one day and it arrives the next via Prime. When I was buying it in the local pet store I could only get the 15 lb bag - and that's if it was even in stock.
