We bought the 2016 models, but there is not much difference in design. We love the fact that we can peddle or paddle allowing us to get into some pretty tight spots. The kayak is wide enough that you can feel secure is standing and moving around while sitting. We even take our Miniature Schnauzer out with us. They are rather heavy with the propel drive in so we bought a used boat trailer and retro fitted it for easy launch and load.I would recommend this Kayak to anyone that wants to get out on the water and enjoy the outdoors. The fact that it can be pedddled is a plus for people like me with disabilities (I have MS) that would preclude them from paddling.
