Its common for an older guy's waist to match his hips (I never knew this until I became an older guy) and so even if you pull your belt tight you pants seem to have a built-in downward motion. But suspenders cheat gravity. These suspenders are well made. Superior clips. Solid leather strips. Good hardware. I've been using mine for a year and except for being teased about being grandpa (my hair is white) so I might match the description. But, no matter what, I do not have to worry about my pants falling down.

I got the extra large and it's too big. Will be returning tomorrow. They're very well made and I love them, but the ones I got are too big. My only problem is that there's no way to check what size will fit me, so I have to guess, which is what got me into this situation.

These are probably my favorite set of suspenders I’ve gotten to date.Good solid leather construction without being bonded. The edges are unfinished so you can see the actual leather grain. The colorway is also a really nice medium brown. I ended up darkening them with leather protectant but I like them even more doing so.I forget how uncomfortable belts until you wear a set of suspenders.For reference I am 6’2” and 180 pounds, I chose a medium size because my legs are longer than my torso. The medium is a perfect fit with the elastic fully run out and I can use the two bottom adjustment holes to fit.I sized down to a medium because I hate having excess strapping sticking out, and I won’t be getting any taller. If I get fatter I’ll have to size up, but for now, the medium is a perfect fit to replace my belt.The snaps are great quality and I much prefer them over the alligator clip style.I highly recommend these suspenders and will look for other offerings from Nocona Belt Co. in other colors.

No no no, those superlatives are not in reference to me, but rather these gorgeous suspenders/ braces. They are fantastic, well made and sure to last a life time with the proper care. They arrived well packaged, although a little dry [ normal for leather stored for an unknown time], but after a quick wipe down and condition they were ready for action. I cant go anywhere without getting a compliment from someone on how handsome they are. The simple classic styling pairs well with any style weather wearing them over clothes or under your blazer. My pants have a hard time staying up with a belt due to my work.These all leather suspenders clip on to the belt loops unlike clip on dress suspenders that often arent strong enough for something more than slacks.Im really impressed. Im not winning any fashion shows wearing these but Im also not hearing any comments about my backend on public display.

Great quality, really nice. I noticed questions about size and a lack of sizing chart. I got a size Large suspender. I'm 5' 11" but with a longish torso. Even so, I had to set these to the lowest setting to fit. At it's lowest possible setting, a Large measures 39" (99cm) from the center of the back belt clamp hole to the center of the front clamp hole. The front adjustments have 5 holes that are1" apart, so there's another 4 inches (43" now). You can also adjust the rear elastic strap. I didn't check that but I'd guess you could get another 4 inches out of that. So I'd estimate about 47" (119cm) at it's largest setting. I suppose fitting would also depend on how high or low you let your waist level ride. Maybe check with a tape measure first.

Can’t complain much about these honestly. The elastic band in the back helps a lot but my family’s harsh comments on my fashion sense does not. I like these because they don’t dig into my hips or stomach as much as a belt would and they look really nice. Just needed a touch of mink oil but everything else turned out fine. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an alternative to a belt.
