Cheap way to fix your monitor instead of buying a new one
Shipping was prompt and quick (placed order on thursday night and was shipped on friday evening at about 5PM)Total repair time took about 1-1.5 hours to disassemble the monitor, de-solder bad capacitors, solder new capacitors, and reassemble the monitorMy issue with the monitor was that it would slowly fade into being bright over the course of 1-3 minutes, and you wouldn't even be able to see any light until after 30 seconds to 1 minute of turning on the monitorWith the new non-bulging capacitors, the monitor turns on like normal again. Very pleased with this purchase to repair my monitor as opposed to purchasing a new monitorIn the package, you get TWO 25V 820uF, THREE 35V 330 uF, ONE 50V 47uF, a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe, 2 cotton swabs, and a little bit of soldering wire and soldering wick. I did not use the provided soldering wire because I had some already

Back from the dead...
I have a Samsung Syncmaster 204B...about a month ago it started flickering very rapidly when powered on. Eventually it just showed a black screen for a few seconds followed by the flickering. Each day it got worse, and took longer and longer for the display to show anything. So I did some searching and came across this kit. In short, it was a lifesaver - my monitor is now working perfectly.Just make sure to follow the directions very carefully, pay attention to detail, and solder correctly and it'll work like a charm. I'm very grateful a kit like this exists - it basically saved me $150-$200 since I didn't have to buy a new monitor. If your monitor is flickering when powered on, or the screen goes blank for a short time, it's likely the capacitors on the power board. They make kits like this for many different monitors, so before throwing it in the trash, try this first!

Perfect
If you look at the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board and they show signs of pressure expansion, where the tops are not flat but domed, and you have poor startup performance, these caps probably need replacement. But just know that your problem may be elsewhere. In my case, I had three of these nice LCD monitors and it was as shame to dispose of them when the fix was so simple. This kit was perfect for my needs and I now have like-new turn-on performance.

Great resource but be sure to check your board first.
I got my kit and found that the capacitors on my 204B Rev 0.1 board are actually different than those in this kit. To be sure you can look at the caps on your board before you order and check the info on the LCDalternatives web site to make sure you need this exact kit (I needed the 729440902278 kit which I think is not listed here on Amazon). The materials are top quality and the tutorial is well-done; altogether making LCDalternatives a great resource for repairing LCD monitors and TVs.

Awesome product!!
I ordered this a week ago and received it today. Having already dismantled my monitor, to confirm bad capacitors and revision # before ordering this package, I set about replacing the bad ones and hoped that it would solve the blue blinking light syndrome. So after watching the company's tutorial, I spent a total of 30 minutes de-soldering the bad capacitors and soldering in the new ones. I finished a few moments ago and flicked the power switch, low and behold my monitor has come back to life.I would highly recommend this kit and others like it from this company. Those whom have lcd monitors or televisions that aren't working, it's worth a try at the price of $12, instead of throwing it away and spending $100 or more to replace your technology.

Successfully repair from a guy that's never soldered anything before
First, if you're going to buy a soldering iron MAKE SURE you get one that is rated MORE than 25 watts. I bought the Elenco Electronics ST-12 Soldering Tool Kit but the iron was not hot enough for desoldering the 204B -- so I went to radio shack and bought a 40-watt and it worked sufficiently. You need a bit of skill with a soldering iron, but as long as you are careful and don't connect the positive and negative ends you should be fine. The kit contains everything I needed.

An excellent and easy kit with everything needed to fix a monitor.
This kit arrived quickly and on time. It had all the right capacitors, solder, soder wicking and everything needed to fix my monitor. The directions were easily available online and were clear and concise. I changed my capacitors in less than an hour. Unfortunately, it didn't fix my problem. To be fair, none of my capacitors were buldging in the first place. The fix was worth a try and since the kit is reasonably priced, I didn't lose much. This is an excellent buy.

Not all capacitors match 204B rev 0.1 board
Nowhere in the product description does it say which actual capacitors you get, only that these are what you need.Well, for the Samsung 204B Rev 0.1 board that I have, it has 3-25v 330uf caps instead of 35v that are included in the kit, so I didn't use those. The 2-25v 820uf caps are the ones that seem to blow and mine were bad. After they were replaced, and the 50v 47uf too, the monitor came up. Was hoping to swap out all the cheap brand caps, but oh well the monitor at least works like it did when new again. My advice is source caps on your own because what I got didn't completely match what was on the board. What is more annoying is I emailed the support/info address and didn't get a response.Attaching shot of my board with two of the non-matching caps shown. It shows it was mfr by Samsung, it is a 204B rev 0.1 board, and the caps on the board don't match some of the caps in the kit.
