Great auto tire inflator
Checking and inflating our cars' tires has always been a frustrating job for me, but this well-designed tire inflator promises to make it easier. It has a combination of features I haven't found on any of the more than several inflators I've used in the past including: a "leakless" thumb-press hose connector, quick inflation time, digital pressure display and automatic shutoff, AC power (if you have an outlet handy) and DC power (to run off your car battery if you don't), easy storage of power cord and inflation hose. Having struggled to neatly stow power cords and inflation hoses after use on other inflators I've had, I especially appreciate the last feature. It's easy to use the digital gauge to set this inflator to shut off automatically once the tire reaches reaches your selected pressure. Just be sure to follow the instructions to select the pressure and then wait until the gauge reads "0" again before you start the inflator.I like to keep our cars' tires at 36 psi (cold). After my first use, I'd say this inflator did a pretty good job of hitting the mark, based on my follow up with a digital tire gauge -- trust but verify always being a good idea. Anyway, I can't say for certain that it's always dead on re. selected pressure, which is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five for accuracy.

A good emergency tire inflator
Works well. Inflates tires fairly quickly, and the setting is accurate

The Compressor is fine and easy to use. Confusion with battery compatibility.
I will add to this review in the future. I have not yet had the compressor a full day and so cannot speak to its reliability or long term performance. My first impression is that it works as intended and the operation is fairly straight forward. It has all the basic things you need in order to inflate the majority of the things you likely have around the home. The three grey buttons are a bit small and tough to see in low light, but not so bad as to be a major ding against the product. I filled up an inflatable "donut" tube we use at the lake. It took less than a minute to fill it fully. Something to consider is that while the compressor has the ability to pre-select the PSI for the high pressure side used for inflating car tires, the high volume side does not share that feature. You will need to remain mindful while inflating pool tools and air mattresses. This part will be a bit of a rant and you may wish to stop reading here.My biggest beef is not with the compressor itself, but with the battery compatibility and my frustration with the parent company StanleyBlack&Decker. Many reading this may have already been aware of this, but hopefully this will helps others that do not. The issue being the lack of interchangeability with the original Craftsman 20vMax Lithium batteries and the newer v20 batteries. My experience has been that the old B&D/Craftsman 20vMax Lithium batteries work in Craftsman and B&D power tools with the 3 pin battery slots. The newer Craftsman v20 batteries only work in the Craftsman 4 pin battery slots. While Craftsman went to the 4 pin configuration, B&D did not. I was not aware of this change and so failed to notice that this Craftsman compressor has a 4 pin battery slot. I recently purchased a B&D 20v hedge trimmer and based on the historic interchangeability of these two brands, I figured I would be ok with this Craftsman compressor. But, instead being ahead of the game with the bunch of batteries that I already have, I now need to either obtain a new Craftsman v20 battery or get an adaptor. I do understand that there is a business reason why StanleyBlack&Decker does this, but I do not believe that it really serves its customers needs and especially those like me who own a mixed collection of their product lines. Clearly with all the adaptors that allow cross compatibility of tools between brands, battery interchangeability is something customers really desire. If you already have a bunch of B&D 20v Max power tools, B&D does have a version of this compressor.

It's a mystery why this is not highest rated in comparison reviews
I have tried a lot of different portable pumps and they all struggled with my Ford F150, taking forever to even top off just a bit and running so hot in the process that you had to stop and let the pumps cool down. This one, not so much. I just ran it on 120v and topped off all 4 wheels on my truck in 5 minutes. The pump didn't even get warm ... I finally found the one to have on board for emergencies or for play (bikes, rafts, etc.). Connection options are vast and this has got to be most versatile and powerful pump out there. As the title says, I am scratching my head why this does not make the top in the various 'best of' comparison tests. I can't talk to durability since I just received it, but I can say it's super easy to use and will do what you need. Super highly recommended!!

Very accurate when you set your psi. I cuts off when the level is met.
This is the best investment ever! So versatile! I can use this for SO many things! Eliminates stopping for air when my tire pressure falls low in my auto. Useful for air in my bike, my fitness equipment that requires air. Portable and easy to use!

Perfect Choice
I replaced an old, very large compressor with this one. I only need to inflate car tires and pool toys. It works great. I love that I can attach the hose to a tire, set a pressure and don't have to hold a chuck onto the valve stem. It is much easier to use. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend.

Works but not great. Save your money
I expected a lot more from craftsman. The pump works but the lcd display does not function smoothly. It glitches quite a bit. It lacks an auto shut off feature and will over inflate your tire. Also it is unnecessarily loud. I’ve spent less and have a better working product. I will be returning immediately.
