Truly water proof, 49 L is really huge, do your homework in regards of sizes in litters I end up with more than what I need. not a ding on the bag.

I have had several Ortlieb's. I use them for my motorcycle travels. Not only do they keep gear dry the yellow also helps me be more visible to folks traveling in cages behind me!

This bag is very sturdy and large enough to hold plenty of gear. I took this bag on a 2600 mile motorcycle trip and we had two days of rain. The bag kept all my clothes and other gear dry and safe.

Also have the XL. This one is perfect for week long trips on moto.

Durable, I've had mine 5 years. I found 49 litres just rite in size. 40L is just a little small and 60L is just a tad too big. I use it on a narrow Dual-sport moto and don't want it extending out over the sides too far and saging. This price is super high though compared to the competition. I would certainly shop around.

Home tested this before we took it out. I filled it with some packing paper we had on hand and threw it into the lake. Then my son jumped on it and rolled it around in the water for a few minutes. Everything stayed dry. Need I say more? Oh yes, 49 liters worth of space but if you don't fill it up all you do is roll the top down further and you have a wonderful addition to the panniers.

Used it as a holiday bag & also on a motorbike & what I really love about it is that it is totally waterproof so no more packing clothes into bin bags in case it rains.The material looks pretty bomb proof but time will tell! I have an Ortleib rucsac liner which I have had for years & is made of the same material so I am hopeful it will last.One minor criticism is that the top roll needs to be rolled down quite a bit to effect the seal so I doubt the claimed size in litres is actually true but it easily holds a generous amount of gear for a long weekend away. The extra clips & straps allow some compression & there is a handy shoulder strap.Being yellow of course helps on the motorbike with 'bein seen'

Survived a Land End to John O' Groats expedition. Yellow colour makes you much more visible on the open road. I would always recommend this colour for that reason. Waterproofing excellent as it never once leaked despite being the wettest summer on record (2012). It survived 4 days of torrential rain including two days where roads were flooded. The contents were the only thing left that was dry. Easy to open being roll top so good access for maps, snacks etc needed on the road.

My favourite bike bags. The only thing I wished for is that they’d be lockable. However I haven’t found any bike bags that are that (and Are not boxes)

I don't understand why it's got 'men' in the description. But the bag is really handy and does the job
