I don't have experience with any other designated server books but this one is great, so far! Plenty of pockets for keeping different things separated. The zip pocket I use to keep old cashouts for the two-week pay period in. It's hard to get stuff into and out of the zip pocket because it's so tight, so I just use it for my cashout slips for my records, because I only access that once at the end of each shift.The magnetic pocket is great. Seemed a bit loose at first but I haven't had anything fall out of it yet and it's plenty spacious. If you were to drop the book (which I haven't yet, but it's inevitable) I think you stand a decent chance of whatever cash or tip slips you store in that pocket staying in the pocket unless the book lands in just the right position to cause it to pop open.My only complaint about this over using a plain old check presenter for a book is that this is a little on the thick side when you've got cash, tip slips, and your notepad in it. When it's full, it doesn't slip easily into my apron. That's not really anything I can mark off of the product for, just something to consider. Sometimes it takes me two hands to put the book away in my apron.I haven't had the book for long, but it feels of solid construction and I expect it to last a long time.Last but not least, the product arrived on time.Very satisfied!

So I was tall excited to get my book. Looked trough a whole bunch and decided for this one. I mainly odered this book because of the magnetic pocket and the little zipper pocket . Well, the zipper broke on the second day.... didn’t really get a chance to even use it. I just zipped it up and it was messed up. So that was so disappointing because I wanted to use that for my change .... so that’s why I rated it 3 stars. The rest of the book is good so far. But I can’t put my coins in the magnetic compartment because they fall out so...if it wasn’t bcuz of that, I would of rated it higher. Update......I’ve has it for a whileNow, it’s still good and I’ve gotten my coworkers to buy a few too. They absolutely love the book just like I do. It’s just so convenient and well put together. Worth your money!!!

This is a must have for any busy server!!! Way sturdier than the generic "Guest Check" black books, and is basically waterproof. Has like 6 pockets, 1 of which has a zipper pocket(perfect for coin), and another has a magnetic closure(perfect for cash). This thing keeps you super organized all shift. It also has quick access pockets for credit cards and will accept the generic "Guest Check/Order (blue carbon-copy)style" books or "Franchise style" 9-inch order books. This thing is WELL worth the $15!!! I can't say enough good about it!!!

Just open the beauty and stoked to get in it and use it. Im a server book snob and this one is probably the best one I've ordered. 1st impressions are everything and I'm in love. The pockets are super roomy and there are lots if them for open & closed checks, pics of my little, money, change and a notebook for order taking. The magnetic money closure seems really sturdy, ive put some cash in there to give it a text and it's working great. For as many pockets as this thing has, including the magnets and the zipper closure, it's super slim. It's the exact size as a check presenter you get from Amex ...

I work in a restaurant with server banking and I need to carry both bills and coins, so the zipper pocket is essential for my change. I use the magnetic pocket to keep my bank, and use one of the pockets opposite the zipper to place cash collected during shifts. The magnetic pocket just has magnets on the edges and center, so I’m not sure how full you can stuff it and safely hold important papers or cash. It does seem like a pretty strong magnet so I don’t mind keeping the starting bank in it.I use a refrigerator notepad to take orders (bigger size and more sheets for the money!) it’s about 4x8.5” and is perfectly sized so there’s no overhang. My only issue with this book is when you have a full notepad AND coins in the pocket it doesn’t stay fully closed. Also keep in mind the coins will shift with gravity, and that pushes the bottom out as well. I definitely feel more organized and it was worth the money spent, I can separate my credit slips, cash payments, and discounts; there’s a spot for my POS card, and I still have more pockets that are free in case I need them!Can’t comment on durability at this point as I’ve only used it for a month (3 days a week). So far I’m pleased with this purchase.

The only thing missing is the clear divider/compartment that I had in my old book that I took from Olive Garden. I usually put my cheat sheets for our new products and draft list in there, and If they added the clear divider I'd be a customer for life. But as it stands now it's a great serving book. Idk about the zipper for change, it's hard to get my fingers into but the magnetic pocket is strong, holds a large amount of cash just fine, it really is water proof, I use a regular sized guest check pad and it fits perfectly, I don't use the pen holder because it kept coming out as I put it into my apron but that could be because I use the side pocket instead of middle to put my book in in my apron. LOVE the bright blue color, and all the pockets are nice for holding my many receipts and coupons. All in all a good buy.

I ordered this book because one of the people I work with ordered one. After struggling with standard restaurant books falling apart, getting lost, or losing money out of them, I decided to order one as well. The pockets are secure and super functional. The book is sturdy and stands out from a regular server book so it won't get lost in the shuffle if you sit it down somewhere. So many of my co-workers are ordering them now that they've seen how great they work.

Honestly best server book I have ever owned! I bought a second one so I could have it if something happened to my first one. My first one is still holding up with no problem. I have had it for years! I also love the magnetic pocket being on the outside, it’s much more convenient. I put change and all kinds of stuff in there and it still doesn’t fall out 1000000/10 highly recommend!
