Quilting Designs Quilt Coloring Book (Beautiful Adult Coloring Books)

My daughter absolutely loves this book. I came to give it 5 stars, but then I was reminded of the price I paid. Would I pay $8 again? Probably not. I was thinking I paid around $4. Still, she loves it. She's quite young but fascinated with patterns. This book could work for young or old or in between.

This is another great Lilt Kids Coloring Book! As a beginning quilter, I really love that this book uses many of the traditional geometric designs found in quilt patterns, as well as some simple shapes that might show up on quilts as appliques. It provides a lot of opportunity to play with color and repeating patterns. It's amazing to me how different patterns emerge based on how you choose to color. This would be a great gift for a quilter or anyone who likes to play with color to create patterns. There is enough variety to keep it interesting and the varying levels of intricacy mean that you can choose to spend a little time or a lot of time coloring. The paper is high quality and the pages are only printed on one side, which means each page is suitable for framing or using in crafts after they are finished (Colored pages make great greeting card covers!). While I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest, unbiased review I am happy to say I would definitely buy it again for myself or as a gift for someone else.

The only problem I had is that the package came open.

I was a little disappointed with the lack of designs in this book. Not much variety.

What a disappointment! As an avid quilter I couldn't wait to get this coloring book. First of all, the cover(front and back) is upside down. Second, the pages are not entire pictures. All pages are cut off on the bottom and the border is not complete. Will be returned ASAP!
