The dual hybrid transformer is capable of 20dB nominal trans-hybrid loss. In other words, the transmission signal will appear mixed with the receiving signal, but at a level of 20 dB lower than it was sent in the phone line. The "Auto" function is very simple. When the "Auto" switch is selected, AutoHybrid will respond to the first ring. The phone line will remain unhooked, until the Drop button is pressed, or until the line is hung up.
