I was a little bit apprehensive about ordering this dash cam but I took a leap of faith, and I think I made a good choice. The dash cam came in a nice package and after browsing the "manual", which needs improvement, and getting familiar with the camera button I plugged to a 5v android phone charger and played a while navigating the menu. I inserted a Samsung EVO 128GB sd card and formatted it in the camera. Attaching the dash cam in the car was really easy. I set the clip length for 3 minutes and the screen saver for 3 minutes too. I have been using the dash cam for about a week now and I have to complaint so far. The video quality is really good. The specs say 32GB but the dash cam formatted my sd card for the whole 128GB in FAT32. I verified this with the sd card in my laptop. The first couple of days I would take the sd card and verify the video clips on my laptop to make sure the dash cam was working reliably. I would just select all the clips from the sd card and drag and drop on vlc media player. Vlc would play the video clips in sequence just like if they were just one full long video. I will keep on doing that every few days to make sure it is working fine. So far I am very satisfied with this purchase. The video quality is really good and would highly recommend this dash cam.

I finally installed this dash cam in my new car last week. I have had the dash cam for a while still in the box and finally put it on my windshield. I bought the dash cam in response to already thinking about purchasing one and also getting into a small fender bender where no cameras were visible, no witness stopped and the other driver had a different story. This dash cam should save me in that situation next time. Overall I really like the wide screen, good resolution, screen saver and video looping work well. The night vision is adequate I would say but not tremendous. For $30, I think it's a great dash cam. If I wanted something better then I would have spent more money.

Very cheap, but still high quality dash cam. Great video quality (solid at night) while having almost all the features you'd want; g-sensor, motion detection, parking mode, etc. It's also very small so it takes up barely any space, as well as being very easy to install.The manual isn't great, but it's still really easy to figure out regardless. One of the major reasons (besides everything above) I was sold on this particular model is because you can swivel it around while it is mounted. That way if I get pulled over, or need to record the inside of my vehicle for whatever reason, all it takes is a quick spin of the cam. Overall excellent dash cam. Highly recommended.

UPDATE on 5/18/19 and took down 2 stars: I returned the original camera for an exchange back in late February because the car charger had stopped working. It's now mid May and once again, the car charger has died. I never was able to have the camera turn OFF when the car was off. It stayed on the whole time, despite trying various settings. So I needed to unplug it every time I wasn't in the car for more than 30 minutes. I actually don't drive every day and when I do it's mostly for short errands and I left the camera plugged in until I got home. So it's not like the charger got lots of wear and tear! It's irritating and even though it wasn't expensive, it was a waste of my money. I'll be checking out thrift stores to see if I can find a compatible car charger because I'm done sinking too much money in this. I never did send for the 32G memory card, btw.I first bought this camera in February. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't think the quality of the picture was great. It's OK. I can barely read the street names as I pass the signs, or even license plate numbers unless I'm really close. I thought it perhaps was due to my windshield not being very clean, but I after I cleaned it the quality of the picture wasn't much improved. I used to have another dash cam (different brand, also more expensive) with which I didn't experience picture quality problems so I noticed those right away with this dash cam and was disappointed. But again, it's a cheap camera.I still like it because it's better than nothing. However, the manual is useless. I got the instructions for inserting the Mini SD card properly from a comment here on Amazon. I also found instructions on what various settings do either in comments here or in the product description, NOT THE MANUAL. I'm still unclear on what some of the settings do or don't do.I don't need for the camera to drain my battery when the car is parked (seeing that I don't drive every day) so I unplug the car charger when the car won't be used for several hours/days since none of the settings that I tried actually turned off the camera when the car was off (it kept filming). After a mere 2-3 weeks of use, the car charger stopped working. I did test my car jack with other devices that worked fine so it definitely was the camera's car charger.I contacted Amazon Customer Service, who first offered me a $6 credit, and then a $9 credit, but another similar charger (with the angled jack) cost about $13. They really wanted me to just give me the $9 and have me buy the charger myself at my local auto parts store. I asked for them to exchange my camera instead, since I was still within the 30-days of my purchase and they obliged. I sent the first camera back and they sent me a new one.The newer camera works fine, just like the first one did. I'm just crossing my fingers that the car charger will last longer. This one came with the offer for the free 32G SD card so I hope that I will receive it once I send all the required information. The first camera didn't have the offer in the box.

Perfect as a dash cam, easily installed and operates straightforward without the need for a product encyclopedia. Good color and resolution, catches frames with clarity. The video I shot was a hawk flying into my windshield at about 35mph. The bird wasn't injured, and I got some great still shots with Power DVD 10. I definitely would recommend this, it is a good buy and practical in use. I really can't speak to the night vision, as I haven't used it at night.
