FUN + WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
OMG !!! this little monster has changed my life. have been using it for a little over two months now. I make around 4-7 cups of juice EVERY SINGLE DAY. I do not like cooking and cleaning although I am a very good cook. It is just a hassle and I have better things to do, BUT........I do not eat out + eat very healthy. Have only recently learned/understood the science/benefits of nutritionally correct juicing. At almost 60, in the process of researching cancer/chronic disease prevention, I came across various therapies that include juicing for medicinal purpose. I learned that only "COLD PRESSED" juice is acceptable as part of a cancer treatment regimen. Such high volume top of the line machine will set me back around $2,500. Not reasonable, but I want it. So, I kept searching and found this little masticating machine. After extensive research (watching many demonstration videos of over 50 different juicers), I settled on this rather inexpensive masticating juicer, because it had only 3,4,5 star reviews. Since that is hard to achieve, I thought I give this machine a try. Well, after daily use for over 2 months, I am in love. This thing is fun to use, easy to clean, and oh so beautiful. It took me about 2 weeks to develop a routine. This machine has NEVER JAMMED. I understand the manufacturer pictures whole fruits going through the auger, BUT I learned from watching countless demonstration videos, that it is more efficient and better for ANY juicer, that you cut the produce. I soak my produce in vinegar water (at least 10 min), rinse it off, cut it, and place the cut produce in a large colander. Only then do I start the juicing process. I load handfulls of produce into the round "flip bowl receptor", alternating between greens and hard produce. Because I prefer as little pulp as possible, I place a sieve onto the juice receptor. The "juicy pulp" collected in this sieve becomes the base for my cereal or I add it to soup. Sometimes I even just mix it with a little Kefir and eat it for desert. (for the Cereal I add any : buckwheat, chia seeds, almond meal/slivers, flax seeds, oats, millet, barberries/raisins/dried fruit). This gives me a lot of fiber. I throw away the dry pulp, but you could use that for gardening or mix it into dog/cat food. The actual juicing process is almost therapeutical. I love the sound and enjoy seeing how the machine "devours" the produce. It almost feels the machine is "talking" to me. You can "feel" how some produce (beets /other hard roots) take more "effort" for the machine. So I feed less of those pieces mixed with "easier" produce. You will actually feel the machine after a while just like driving a race car. I never had to use the "pusher". The machine truly swallows the produce into the auger. It is called a "slow juicer", but in my opinon the juicing process is very fast. CLEANING is a breeze: after juicing, I close the juice spout, fill the unit with cold water and a 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar and run the machine for about a minute. Then I drain the liquid and repeat the process with cold water only and drain it again. Only now do I take the machine apart. There is not much residue to clean. I remove any pulp by hand, then dip the pieces into the "vinegar water bowl" that I had previously soaked the produce in. (So, as you can see, I just kept that bowl in my sink and reuse this water to do the first step rinsing of the juicer parts). It literally takes less than a minute to clean all parts and place them aside on a towel to dry. After scrubbing the strainer unit with a hard nail brush (99cent store), I place it into the juice receptor filled with hot water/vinegar/baking soda/drop of dish soap and leave it in my large sink until my next juicing session. I use a glass container as juice receptor, not the provided plastic container. This way I make sure the strainer stays sparkling clean and no produce particles ever dry up in any of the small holes. This machine is fantastic and allows me to make a healthy meal (vegetable/fruit/green leaf/root/herb juice) in the time my coffee is brewing. Unreal!!!!! I wish the warranty was equivalent to an Omega machine (15 years). SKG, you rock!!!!

This is a Beautiful and Hard Working Juicer
I just received this juicer and had some questions about the lack of clear operating instructions in the manual and also about hazardous substances indicated in the manual. I emailed SKG and they immediately sent me clear detailed operating instructions and also clarified the hazardous substances chart. The fact that it has a built-in handle makes it easy to move from one location to another on my counter. The color is gorgeous and I also love that it is built vertically instead of horizontally which takes up less counter space. In the time I've had this juicer I have used it many times, making delicious and healthy juice creations once or twice daily. Unlike a juicer I had many years ago that was a nightmare to clean, the SKG Juicer is easy to use and extremely simple to clean. Remember to feed your fruits and veggies slowly, especially lettuce and greens, and let the machine do the work. Dismantle the juicer bowls and rinse immediately after using to keep it clean and ready for your next juice creation. For the best tasting and healthy juice, buy a book on juicing and prepare the recipes you find there. Pour your juice into glass canning jars you might already have on hand and store in the refrigerator. This beautiful and heavy duty juicer should last a long time and is a great addition to my other kitchen appliances.

Good option for price!
This juicer is great! I’ll list the pros and cons and add some photos.Pros:-The pulp comes out so dry. I wanted a new juicer because I needed one to juice leafy greens well and this one DOES! It really gets all the juice-Cleaning is easy. I just rinse all the pieces and it comes with a handy brush to clean the more hard to reach areas.-Reverse option. There is an option to reverse and this really helps for when the juicer gets stuck or it’s time to clean.Cons:-The swing bowl at the top to drop food in is terrible. The leaves get stuck and it’s just not functional. Would be better to just be open.-After juicing for a while (maybe 12 mins) the juicer shuts down and you have to wait a bit. This may be because I’m stressing it but I’m not sure.-Leaves a little pulp, but nothing too bad. Just use a strainer.-The bowl that catches the juice has no handle so it’s hard to hold.Overall: The juicer juices well, leaves dry pulp and the juices taste good! For the price, this is a good option.
