OmniMountOC175T Tilt TV Mount for 43-Inch to 90-Inch TVs

I have had a 50" plasma TV for a while but never had the guts to hang it up on the wall. After looking at a bunch of options, I went with the OmniMount OC175T. Shipping was quick and it arrived at my house in great condition. A few reviewers have mentioned purchasing new lag screws to mount to the studs, but I used the ones that came with the bracket. They are working great. The bracket does not move at all on the wall and the TV hangers are solid. I wish there was more room to move my TV laterally, but I can always reposition the bracket on the wall. The instructions are a little vague since they are just drawings, but I managed to get it installed well enough.

This mount was easy to install, directions were adequate (there's also a phone number you can call if you need clarity), and it came with parts to mount ANY appropriate TV (you can check on omnimount's website to make sure it will fit). You do need to have a stud finder and a metric socket wrench, but the installation is pretty forgiving if you're not 100% level or something - we got this up with no superfluous holes (not a given) and it looks good. Also, the tilt feature (even if you don't use it) gives you enough room behind the TV for it to breathe and for you to get in and access the various ports. We hung a 60" Vizio TV and it was a snap.

Simple mount that is very straightforward to use. Needed something low profile, and strong.... This met both requirements with flying colors. I was mounting a 42" TV in a recess in a wall, and tried two other mounts prior to this one. This was the only one strong enough, and slim enough to get the TV flush with the face of the wall. The locking bar I guess could be useful in some situations, but impossible to use for my application... Its plenty secure without it though (other than for theft I guess).

I have been very happy with this product and with OmniMount products in general. Bought one OC175T to hang my 50 inch plasma that weighs about 90lbs and was so pleased that I bought another to hang my 65 inch LED. Had originally gone with a less expensive mount but it did not feel as substantial as the OC175T and I never really trusted that it would hold my TV even once it was up. My only real complaints are that it can be difficult to adjust the tilt and there are no marks to give you an idea of the angle. The marks would be helpful since you have to adjust each mount separately. Also, the bar that sits over the top of the mount to keep it from moving can be difficult to attach because the screws are a different size and you get a much shorter allen wrench that makes the screws difficult to reach. These are just personal gripes and not a problem with the product. I have no doubts that if I ever need to purchase another mount I will look to OmniMount first.

This was pretty easy to install in about an hour and a half. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the wall mount bracket about 4 inches longer so it would bridge completely across three studs. My TV weighs 70 pounds, so it's not any kind of a structural issue, but more of a feel good item. If you wall mount a TV with this or any other mount, measure twice and drill the holes once and remember that PERFECTLY level is really important.

very sturdy and holds our 90+ lbs tv with all the strength- the only cons is locking mechanism which is way too difficult to move L key even with an average hand size

I was able to complete the installation using the mount. The mount isn't very sturdy and I won't recommend if for anything over a 60" display. I should say that I'm accustomed to using chief products and only used the OC175F to save my client some money.

The wordless instructions are a bad joke!!!! For the TV back, many screws, spacers, and washers combined with confusing pictures that do not specify which to use, where, or why. A call to the toll-free number clarified everything. The mount was well-made and went up easily once I knew what fasteners to use into the back of my TV. Even included a special wrench to adjust the tilt easily.Amazon's price was less than half the local price, and locally I would have had to special-order this heavy-duty model with a 4-6 week wait. Icing on the cake: I chose Amazon's "Standard" free shipping and the mount arrived in 2 days. Now that's great service. Thanks, Amazon.

fairly priced and what you need to mount a 55" TV. you dont need $200 mount unless you want to use for pull up Exercise

I have bought two of these to mount a 43kg plasma TV and 52 Kg led TV. Comes with a comprehensive amount of fixings including coach bolts for wall fixings. This is rated at 80kg limit and would suggest that it is only as strong as the fixings to the wall. I did not use the coach bolts supplied as i was going a plaster board wall with batons onto breeze block. The coach bolts and the supplied rawlplugs would have been too short.I opted to used 8 window frame fixing bolts (£2.80 for 10) M8 x 120 long. 4 top and 4 bottom.They have pulled the frame to the plasterboard securely without pulling the frame into the boarding by spreading the load.The metal frame is a very good finish. The locking bar across the top will work depending on how big the TV is and getting access to it. The gap between wall and TV very snug

Straightforward to assemble and fix. Very secure and invisible.

Great TV mount easy install and easy to hide a cable box behind it with sticking to far off the wall.
