I have not tried this out in the field....had hoped to but plans change. I did do a trial set up in my back yard on a windy day. All by my lonesome. It went well. It will be good for protecting a picnic table from light rain.

Not hard but not easy to set up. Bundled poles look very cheap an easy to collapse. I used twice in not windy day.

Great tarp/canopy. It is well made and large.

I am really happy with this purchase. The poles are very sturdy and did fine with mild wind. The UV protection works great and decent shade provided. Considering in adding more poles to add further options when setting up.

This rip nylon waterproof tarp is great, much larger than you think. Incredibly well made, well stitched double seams.... it will last a long while. Perfect for over the picnic table and car camping. Stands up well in winds. We do both car camping and backpacking, a little heavy for backpacking as it is not sil nylon. Per their web site the packed weight is 2.1 kg, far less if you ditch the poles, pegs and bag. You can easily use this tarp with your trecking poles and it would be huge to sleep under, easily for four people and gear.The poles fit in metal fittings on the webbing material attached to the tarp not on the tarp itself. If you don't want to pay the extra money for a lightweight sil nylon tarp, this would be the next best thing. Would highly recommend. Per another reviewer.... this is an extremely well priced tarp relative to similar on the market. Yes, there are cheaper ones however, they are not as well made or as versatile. It will easily cover a picnic table with a small area to sit as well. No, it won't cover both a tent and a picnic table. Order the larger one which is available if you want that option. I do a lot of camping and backpacking and can tell you without reservation this is a great tarp. It only takes a minute to set up and a further couple of minutes for adjustments.

Wir nutzen das Tarp hauptsächlich als Vordach beim Camping. Es hat dafür genau die richtige Form und Größe. Es ist wirklich sehr stabil, Wind und Wasserfest. Es spendet für 5-6 Personen ausreichend Schatten.Ich habe an die Ösen noch nachträglich stabile Gummi-Bänder geknotet. So werden die Ösen auch bei stärkerem Wind nicht groß belastet. Die Höhe des Tarps ist top. Alu Stangen und Heringe sind sehr stabil. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Volle Punktzahl für dieses super Sonnensegel.Wir hatten es beim Camping über unser Zelt gespannt und es hat uns toll Schatten gespendet und auch manchen Regenguss gut überstanden.Zu empfehlen ist, 2 zusätzliche Zeltstangen mitsamt Befestigungsmaterial/Schnüren dazu zu kaufen. 4x4 Meter ist schon eine ordentliche Größe,es lässt sich mit den beiden zusätzlichen Stangen stabiler befestigen und man hat dann auch mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten bzw.Platz unter dem Segel,weil dann die hinteren Seiten nicht zum Boden gespannt werden sondern an den zusätzlichen Stangen befestigt werden. (Siehe Bild).Wir hatten sogar noch eine 3.Stange dazu geholt um die Segelmitte etwas zu stabilisieren,aber das war eigentlich nicht nötig.Alles in allem ist es ein robustes Segel aus guter Qualität an dem wir sicher lange Freude haben werden.

We purchased this to use with our camper (much cheaper than an awning). The quality of the build is very good and it looks like it will stand up to a lot. What didn’t work for us is the setup and the footprint it needs. The awning takes 2 people to set up (probably one can do it but it is far easier with two). In a mild breeze it becomes even more tricky. In order to stake it down, the guy lines need to be 6-10 feet away from the corners and probably 12 feet from the poles. On a standard campsite with a van and picnic table in it as well, there just isn’t room. I ended up tieing it up to trees around the site - might as well just used a standard tarp with ropes. Also, the height of the tarp makes it easy to go under but doesn’t actually provide much shade unless the sun is directly overhead. I am sure this will work for some people (as I said, the quality of the construction is very good) but I don’t think it is a camping item.

Was soll ich viel erzählen...die Aussage dass das Segel drei Wochen Normandie Tour unbeschadet überstanden hat, sagt eigentlich alles aus.Es war zum Teil recht stürmisch..was ja normal für die Gegend ist.Ich habe die zwei Zeltstangen mit je zwei Abspannseilen zusätzlich gesichert und mir für den sandigen Boden noch andere Anker gekauft und damit war die Stabilität gewährleistet.Zu zweit nach etwas Übung ist, hat man es in 15-20 min aufgebaut und ebenso schnell wieder eingepackt.Da wir immer nur drei bis Max vier Tage auf einem Platz geblieben sind kann ich das auf und abbauen sehr gut beurteilen.Die Beschichtung auf der Unterseite erfüllt auch absolut seinen Zweck, teilweise hat die Sonne erbarmungslos alles gebraten was in ihren Fokus geraten ist, da war ich über aus glücklich über das Segel.Klasse Produkt was ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen würde...was ich ja gerade mache...grins...

Usato in campeggio per creare una zona pranzo esterna alla tenda.Buoni i materiali, io non ho usato i pali, ho sorretto il telo con i cavi legati ad alberi. Ha resistito senza problemi a forti raffiche di vento e pioggia.L'ombra al di sotto del telo risulta moti più gradevole rispetto ad altre coperture.Lo consiglio anche per la sua versatilità, può essere usato per coprire l'auto, ombreggiare la tenda o creare tettoie a vario uso.Esclusivamente per campeggio.

Auf Grund des heißen Wetters in diesem Jahr, habe ich für meine Terrasse das GEERTOP Sonnensegel bestellt. Das war gut im Preis. Das Segel ist stabil und hat ein gutes Aussehen. Es kann schnell auf und abgebaut werden. Die Stützen sind auch OK, lassen sich auseinander nehmen und in der mitgelieferten Tasche gut verstauen.

This is a great product that came exactly as advertised. We used it right away as a sun/rain shade off the side of our van for camping. Construction is good and performed well even in gusty winds.I would prefer if there was some adjustment for the length of the poles but that’s a minor detail in the end. Overall very happy with this purchase, would recommend.

Very solid addition to any car camping camp site. This thing is not space age ultralight or super top shelf take it to mt everest type gear, but it's very solid for the price and for family camping.

Klare Kaufempfehlung, bin begeistert. Schon beim auspacken fallen die ultrastabilen Stangen auf die sehr wertig glänzen und leicht ineinanderpassen. Die Höhe ist optimal. Das Material ist reissfest und hält auch starken Wind aus. Also ein guter Wetter- und Sonnenschutz. Für den Preis habe ich gute Qualität erhalten.

Sehr gutes Sonnensegel. Hält bei jedem Sturm und ist super wasserdicht .Eigentlich ist es sein Geld wert . Trotzdem wäre es etwas günstiger auch besser 😊

I used this at last weekend and very satisfied. This covered enough area under the table. It’s bit pricy but sturdy.
