This is what I've been looking for. This is a GREAT finishing salt. As you can see from the attached pictures (and I know others have compared, too), FlakSalt is much bigger (and in my opinion therefore better) than Maldon's sea salt flakes.I keep seeing reviews both here on Amazon and elsewhere that come from dissapointed purchasers that say that these are "too big" or that they are weird to measure. Guys, salt like this is meant to be used as a "finishing touch" to your meals. It's not meant to be a seasoning salt in the same way that kosher or sea salt are.Next time you roast, say, some carrots, go a teeny bit lighter than you otherwise would on the initial seasoning. When they come out of the oven and are ready to serve, hit them with a touch of this flaky salt. The crunch form the salt will contrast beautifully with the soft sweetness of the carrots. Similarly, next time you make a steak, sprinkle a few crystals on it and the subtle crunch will really help the steak pop.My only complaint about FlakeSalt is the packaging. I feel like it's really dinky. The packaging is made of plastic, but the kind of plastic that will break if it snaps at all, so you have to be careful not to accidentally drop it. I think I would prefer a cardboard/paper/something else packaging.

Falksalts flavors are divine. Delicious and worth it.My only complaint or warning is that the container's top does not fit on securely. I have bumped or dropped the container more than once in my kitchen, only to have it burst open, scattering the contents all over the floor! Agony. I have asked the company to change the packaging, but while we wait, I just advice transferring the salt to a small, screw mason jar or old spice jar, just to be safe.

This salt is amazing. The pictures show it all. Little pyramid flakes, bursting with flavor. This is my go to for seasoning. It is perfect served with any Mexican dish. I don’t use in recipes, but instead I use it like salt and pepper. It’s on the table, for adding flavor.And the flavor is great. It’s a perfect combination of salt and lime. Perfect for serving with tequila, or for salting the rim for margaritas.

We've never really been fancy salt people but we love this stuff. These glorious, delicate big crystals melt in your mouth in the most savory delicious way. They're great sprinkled on pureed soups, on top of curries, all kinds of things. They're sturdy enough that they don't dissolve right away so some flavor is distributed while you still encounter these delightful crunchy bursts of delicious flavor. Not harsh like many salts, the flavor is powerful but smooth.

Excellent flavor, with more smokiness than many others we've tried. If you like your smoke subtle, this may not be for you, but for me it's quite useful, as I can mix with unsmoked salt if I want less smokiness. The container is flimsy plastic, though, and will spill. I knocked it off am 8-inch high shelf onto the counter, and over half of the salt was lost. If you're not clumsy, it's probably not such a big deal, but I'd prefer a screw-on lid rather than friction-fit. 4 stars rather than 3 due to the outstanding texture and flavor.

So I'm a weirdo. I can chomp on big chunks of salt as a snack and love it without raising any health alarms in the least. I discovered the joys of crunchy salt flakes a few years back and have been experimenting with a variety of brands and this quickly became a favorite. Crunchy without being hard. Salty without being 'too salty'. Crisp texture and breaks up easily for finishing on cooked foods, but can also let the flakes melt away on my tongue happily. Good stuff!

love this salt. they are long slices of salt for lots of impact using very little. i use on steak. i also mix into my salad greens before adding dressing. originally got as a sample with hello fresh. liked it so much i purchased on Amazon. i also recommend if to friends. i am thinking off buying it for friends and family for Christmas. many of us are on a keto diet and are looking for ways to get the salt back into or diets. i use lots of different types of salt, but this is my new favorite.

This salt is just to big for any culinary use I can think of. It has pyramid shaped crystal that are about 1/4 " do an. Not the flat flakes I was expecting. You have to grind or crush this salt to put it on anything you don't want to completely overwhelm with salt. It's To expensive to use on the driveway. Would not recommend or purchase this product again.
