My dog is dying of kidney disease. My vet prescribed this to use for the rest of his life, as it aids absorption in dogs who are suffering from kidney disease. Purchasing it from my vet from now until he passes would be quiet expensive. Thankfully I did an internet search to see if I could get it cheaper and it popped up on Amazon for a very reasonable price in quite a large bottle. The size of the bottle I was getting from my vet office was very small and we were blowing thru it very quickly. Purchase this on a suggestion by my veterinarian. My animals didn't like it because it has a minty smell. I had to put it in a feeding syringe to give it to them.
