Easy and tight instillation. The lid opens and closes tightly. Basket size is great! My family teased me for ordering this basket but I ended up carrying all their stuff so it worked great!

This is a great basket. I love that it has a cover, and it's great looking. After reading several reviews by people saying that they had difficulty opening it, I sought a remedy. By taking the strap out of the lower hole and threading it through the top only, you give yourself a way of opening the basket just by pulling up on the strap. No digging at it with some sort of thin object. This is by far the best method I have found, because the lid fits so tight, you don't need to strap it shut, and it doesn't really change the look. Easy fix.

The basket is beautiful but it arrived with spiderwebs inside. Also, the metal plaque is missing. I was hoping a plaque could be sent, but the only fix offered involves me having to send this one back and wait for a replacement. I have no car and the box this came in is damaged and not usable. I still like it but feel I was overcharged considering.

I love the look of the basket. It’s beautiful. I have a mountain bike and I personally think it makes it look a more feminine and dresses my bike up.I love the color, how it’s made, the shape and the way it looks on my bicycle. I really like the straps that hold it on, and the look of the strap in the front that holds the lid down. I don’t like opening the strap on the lid. It’s like a belt and it will keep it closed. I kind of wish the lid strap was a decoration and that a snap was used to keep it closed. The strap adds to the look but it’s a little cumbersome if you’re in a hurry. I would rather have it than not. I just need to be less lazy.I’m not sure how much the basket would hold but I am confident that it could carry a 6 pack of soda or maybe a little more.Overall I would buy it again.

This beautiful NANTUCKET bike basket is made in INDONESIA -for that price? You've got to be kidding. The advertising for this basket is very deceptive. There's no mention of the product's origin (US vs imported) and the Nantucket Bike Basket Co placed a very clever ad on Amazon, in the middle of their basket items, making it appear their baskets are made in the US. I shouldn't have been so naive. However, the price of the basket is high enough (almost $75) that it's reasonable to think you're buying an item made in the US. The quality is very good and I'm in love with the way it looks and with the fact that it's a perfect match for the color scheme and style of our bathroom. We use it for our combs, brushes, hair styling products, etc, so the sink area isn't cluttered. Truly, were it not for the fact that I fell in love with this basket as soon as I placed it in the bathroom, I would have sent it back. I feel I was duped. Folks, either be honest about where the item is made or knock some money off the price tag so we're certain it couldn't have been made in the US. I paid a US price for something made in Indonesia. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Love it. It does have the nice Nantucket plaque on the front like on manufacturer's website. It's a beautiful basket and really the cherry on top of your bike.There is one thing I'll agree with a previous review...the lid...if it happens to be pushed in too much, it can get a bit stuck (think of a lid on a canned food item, when you use can opener and accidentally push it instead of pulling it up, its hard to pull back up/open and you need to use a fork to pull the lid). It's not extremely hard to pull back up, but not something to do while riding the bike and you'll need something to help like a key or a hook of some sort. Also...the front belt/strap... on mine also fell out and got lost the other day. If you don't keep the strap "buckled" ...It is not secured/sewed on or glued on of any sort to the basket so it can easily slip off.This is not a basket you should intend to reach into while riding. And I could see that just by looking at the picture before I ordered it. I wanted a secure lid so I can put my valuables inside without fear of falling and them falling out too. If you want a basket to reach easily into while riding, buy an open basket.

I love this bicycle basket. My daughter has one for her bike, and I’ve always admired it, so I decided to get one for myself. I love the shape of it. It is well made and holds a ton of stuff. I like to take along a jacket, my phone, and a bottle of water, and that all easily fits in there with room to spare. It attaches easily to the bike and looks beautiful. I highly recommend this bike basket.

The straps could be more functional. The lid falls within the top rim, making it nearly impossible to open unless you pry it open with something flat enough to squeeze between the lid and rim. Definitely not worth the high price.

I am so happy with my basket, i got it last year. It is so sweet, sturdy and made well, nice finishes, straps to fit on bike are sturdy and easy to put on. I wish it was cheaper, this was a splurge for me personally but i am happy i wasn't disappointed once it was received. It is a good size but not bulky, doesn't overtake the front of my bike.The only thing is it is so attractive that i never leave my bike for long or out of site because i think the basket or my whole bike will get stolen. I mostly use my bike to commute and only make quick pit stops if i have to leave my bike. I wouldn't want to unstrap and put it on and off again to go into a store, that would be annoying to carry and not quick, it would also wear out straps or scratch them up.Basket fits a 750 ml water bottle, a medium/small thick book, apples, lunch, keys and phone (so not a ton of stuff but not too little either). I'd buy it again but don't think ill have to, quality is good.

A work of art that will last for several years. I am extremely happy with this product.

Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Good value. Sturdy. Most baskets don’t have a lid but that one does. I can put my stuff away without worrying that they bounce out.

Worth the price. I love this basket it holds a lot.

I really love the look of this basket. I got tons of compliments on it.The only problem is that the lid doesn't open completely.
