reVive Light Therapy LookBook—Anti-Aging Light Therapy Panel

I read everything I could get my hands on about LED red light therapy. After alot of research, the reVive look book was my choice. It was very easy to use. I placed it over my face as I lay in bed in the early morning, and over the backs of my hands while watching tv in the evening. This is much better than having to hold a device to an area of your face for a set amount of time and then moving it to the next area.However, I found the lookbook gets uncomfortably hot after 10 minutes. It needs a cool down period which is inconvenient if you want to set aside 20 minutes each morning for face and chest. I also found the lights to be quite bright even with goggles on over closed eyes. I think all light therapy devices will have this issue, but since this is not a mask with eyeholes, you cannot avoid placing the lights directly over your eyelids and I wonder about the long term affects.I used it daily for 2 weeks before I returned it. This was not long enough to see any changes in my skin. It gets an A+ for design and size. But the heat it gives out was just too much for me.I am going to try the Project E Beauty mask next and see how that goes.

Easy to use, quick and obvious results. Use daily for a month and will continue to use. Saw a more healthy skin texture and colour throughout face in less than a couple weeks - especially around eyes. Yes flashes and turns off after about 3 minutes, yes gets slightly warm, yes the buzzing sound was unexpected, but I still tried and it works. I am pleased with results - I can’t use any cosmeceuticals hla, retinol, serums etc (allergies). I do use a basic moisturizer as it can be slighting drying when the device gets warm.

This product was probably good in the beginning. But looked refurbished when I opened it -took a leap of faith and kept- it died in 3 months.

As a licensed Aesthetician, this is perfect for at home use. It does take 3 months to see results so be patient and be sure to use it every day. I have noticed a glow in my skin within days after use and it is very relaxing. I like that it has a storage bag and a timer that blinks when halfway through the treatment so you can guesstimate how much time is left. While laying down, I hold it up about the same distance as my smartphone. I don’t think this is meant to place directly onto the skin as it may be too harsh for your eyes.When searching for red light therapy, be mindful of eye safety. I do think this is the best and safest on the market for the price. I question the mask red lights because they do not have eye goggles and I have a feeling those will be recalled in the future...This one does come with goggles, but one of my complaints is that the goggles should be the strength of IPL goggles. They are not any stronger than tanning bed goggles, though they should be. I put 4 layers of folded gauze on my eyelids before I place the goggles to remedy this.Another improvement the company could make is the power button. It is touch activated, which is something that could easily be bumped while plugged in. If you have young children in the house, it must be put away and not left plugged in. It could easily damage their eyes if they get ahold of it. Someone else mentioned it gets very hot...I have used it 4 consecutive times for body therapy and noticed it got too hot to hold, but have not had any problems with just one use at a time. Overall I am happy with this product and would buy the goggles if they improved the strength and made them IPL goggles.

To be fair, I’ve only use this for a few weeks. All my research shows that it takes about 12 weeks to see any results, so we’ll see. And of course, then it’s too late to return. I was previously using a small handheld device of the same brand, which took forever to do my whole face and neck, so this is definitely faster. The angles of this are a little awkward, but I’ve managed to get it around my face and neck. I wish the “book“ could bend backwards a bit - then you could fit it under and against your neck and down your décolletage. I also just started to use it on my hands. I just lay it across. It gets a little warm and has a little buzz, but doesn’t bother me at all. It came with goggles, but the plastic was kind of sharp so I purchased some different goggles. I feel a little ridiculous sitting under bright lights every day, but hopefully it will work.
