Who would've thought it'd be so hard to find actual SAFETY pins that close right, and don't open with the slightest amount of pressure. I almost feel like hoarding these to pass them on to my children and great grand children just in case they end up living in a world where actual quality safety pins that function as such are no longer manufactured.

Strong, sturdy safety pins. I've been looking for better safety pins for a few years. These are like the safety pins from the 70's and 80's when we used them for holding our clothes together when we lost a button or snap. Even work on the waistband of a skirt or pants! They hold well. Great for emergency repair til you get a chance to mend. Most of the safety pins made now bend too easy. Not these. So happy I found them!

I remember the day around 2000 when I realized that I could no longer find a safety pin that didn't bend and deform while using it. I felt this was a clear indicator of a decaying nation--How can a nation be strong when their safety pins are pliable and, therefore, useless and unsafe? Fueled by the fervor of my Depression-era Grandmother, I began searching for a safety pin worthy of a hard-working American. I finally found it in these pins! I have shared them with my now adult children and give a handful to friends. But only good friends. America feels great again! (At least when I use my safety pins)

I like the quality, Sadly though each pin I open has moisture damage and it rough at the tip and won't go through finer fabrics without pulling threads. Looks like I will have to return these.
