I recently used these white spring wire connectors for a small electrical project, and I’m really impressed! The installation is super easy, and I love the clear labelling for live and neutral wires. This item was easy to fit, seems to be sturdy, and was just as described.

These connectors melted when they were used to connect cables for low voltage dc lighting and the lights switched on. If I could leave a lower rating I would. I will let you to decide if these are safe to use and whether you should buy another type of connector. I'm just pleased that they didn't catch fire.I have a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, so it's unlikely that I installed all 3 connectors incorrectly, the two worst are shown in the picture, I had to cut the cables out of the third one so that I could repair the problem they'd created as the cables had melted into the plastic. The lights now work with connectors bought from my local DIY store for £1.20. If only I'd gone there first.

Did not stop a meltdown when used to patch up and extension cable

I purchased these to convert my (14x) kitchen bulbs from GU5.3 MR16 halogens (with transformers) to GU10s LEDs.I thought they would save me time, but they were nothing but hassle. The clips don't press down onto the wire effectively, meaning the connection is not secure. The wires kept falling out! After spending 3 hours going through dozens of these, I finally gave up and switched to standard connector blocks, which took me 30 minutes.AVOID!!

Had high hopes for these as they were exactly what i thought i was after to quickly connect (and disconnect) the main cable on a domestic coffee machine (about 1,300W). Says they are rated for 10A but they melted first use. Normal terminal block is working fine now so won't use these again on anything other than very small loads (eg LED lighting circuits etc). Use with great caution.
