Factory 2014 Kia Forte Sedan Spare Tire Kit

Installed this package on my 2015 Kia Forte Sedan (believe it will work for the 5 and Koup too). Replaces the existing tire inflator. Easy to install with the supplied directions. Tire appeared to have been inflated to the correct pressure prior to shipment. I kept the factory installed inflator and hardware.(the original grey Styrofoam storage / floor support can be discarded). Not sure why this isn't standard equipment (other than cost). Don't even see it listed on the optional equipment for the vehicle.Without this option, any tire damage other than a small pinhole may require road service. A peace of mind investment.

PIECE OF MIND! What was Kia thinking not putting spares in their cars?! Instead you get some kind of expanding foam stuff and a little electric air pump. Don't get me wrong I've used that pump a few times and it works quite well.. but it's not going to help you with a large blowout on the side of the road.Buying this was the FIRST thing I did after buying my 2015 Forte and it was much cheaper buying it here instead of going through my local dealer.I hope I never have to use it but if I do.... well it's great piece of mind to know it's there! Yeah yeah roadside assistance but I can change a tire out in just a few minutes.. to me that's much easier than waiting an hour or more for someone to show up.I should note that my kit came complete with the jack, tools and storage cubby. The tire was already mounted on the rim and filled with air. It even came with a few replacement tire placards so you can update the sticker on your door to point out that it has a spare now (just pick the sticker that's applicable to your tire size).

I purchased this for a 2014 Kia Forte sedan, and am totally satisfied. I wanted a 16 inch like my other tires (a pkg. that came on the car) but there are none (supposedly) that fit whatever it is that you attach the tire to (shame on Kia). I was told by an ex-mechanic that having a smaller spare on the front axle could damage the spider gears (I think that's what it was) and to only put it on the rear (so would have to change 2 tires if the flat was on the front). I have not actually removed a tire to check that it fits, but the others on here say it does. I will make sure when I get my tires rotated.

Bought this spare to go in the back of my 2014 Forte. Decent price and installation took less than 15 minutes. I did have to add air to it because the pressure was a little low before I stored it. It comes with new stickers to put on the door to reflect the change. Finally have peace of mind. It will come in handy if I ever experience a flat.

A month after I purchased my 2014 Forte, I hit something in the road and "poof" flat tire. I broke out the provided tire patch kit and all the goop bled through the hole that was much too large for the thin, runny tire sealant to plug. I limped back to the house, which was close and used a plug set and Green Goop to fix the flat.I went to the dealer and one; they didn't have a kit and would have to order it and two; told me it would be $590.00 bucks, not including shipping and tax! I came here and had this kit three days later for 1/3 the price. It even takes up less room than what Kia had in the slot to begin with!

So glad that I ordered this I had a blow out the day before I ordered it. I now feel better having it so if I have another blow out then I will have a way to get to a dealership to get a new tire.

When I bought my new Forte was not advised at the time that had no spare, within 1 month had a blow out on the road and sat for 4 hours for a tow truck. I ordered the spare immediately and now have peace of mind. The kit arrived and fits perfect in the trunk and so glad that I was able to get from Amazon as do most of my shopping here.
