SportPet Designs Collapsible Pet Kennel, 30" Medium (Tan)

I recently purchased the SportPet plastic kennel, and although I ultimately had to return it because my dog was just a little too big, I was thoroughly impressed with its quality. Here’s why I’m giving it five stars:**Exceptional Quality:** The build of this kennel is top-notch. The plastic is thick and sturdy, and it feels incredibly durable. I have no doubt it would stand up to years of use.**Easy Assembly:** Putting the kennel together was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and all the parts fit together seamlessly. It took me less than 5 minutes to assemble it, which was a pleasant surprise.**Great Design:** The design of the kennel is well thought out. It has plenty of ventilation, which is essential for keeping my pet comfortable. I love this crate! I needed it for my frenchie who is strong enough to tear through a fabric crate while riding in the car. It’s super easy to open and close back down, has lots of openings so she doesn’t get hot and is a pretty light color. I love the twist opener for the door, and the dimensions on the medium fit my dog perfectly. Not inexpensive but totally worth it.

I was initially hesitant to buy this crate, not because of the product itself, but because I was unsure of how much I would use it. I bought it primarily to re-introduce crate training for two of my dogs in temporary situations. At the time of purchase, there were hardly any reviews for the specific crate I chose. However, now that I have had it for several months, I am extremely happy with my decision. The measurements are 100% accurate, but the crate is a bit smaller than I had estimated for my dogs. Nevertheless, they still fit comfortably. The black and white dog in the picture is a Decker Terrier weighing 50 lbs and he fits pretty well. If he's lying in it with the door open he does hang out a bit, but we are slowly trying to introduce it to him again before closing the door because he came from an abusive situation. The other dog in the picture is my 17 lb Pug mix and he fits in the crate perfectly with plenty of room. I would highly recommend this crate to just about anybody. Not only is it extremely secure and easy to assemble, but it is also incredibly portable and easy to store. As someone who lives in an apartment and wants to maximize space, this has been a significant benefit for me.

Bought for my anxious 50# dog when he is in the car. Specifically bought it to be a "tight" fit for him as big crates toss him around in the car and he gets super upset. Turns out he loves it and when we bring it inside from the car, he'll curl up in it before we can fold it up and store it!!Pros: lightweight, compact when folded, easy to fold, cute color, sides are half vented at (top) top & solid (bottom) on 3 sides, making dog feel secure but provides circulation. Door is metal w easy to use lock.Our anxious pup loves it and lock is very eaay to engage and secure, but if u have an escape artist or super heavy chewer I could see them manipulating it to escape. This is durable for day to day use but not rugged, if that makes sense.Overall, best crate we've purchased (and we've purchased a lot!) Prior metal one was sooooo heavy and not aesthetically pleasing. :)To be aware of (not really a "con"): there is a small crack in a corner but it doesnt affect the structure stability so we didnt report it to seller... didn't notice it until a couple days after we used it and it was 1st time we used it in the car and maybe we were a bit rough as we reclined the seat back to hold it in place for our (super) anxious dog.

This kennel has very sturdy and is the perfect size for my puppy! I love the latch on the door.

The weld on the door broke already. Just a spot weld but I have no way to fix it. Could someone please contact me for a replacement. The puppy just now grew into it. I have only used it a week.

Nice cage. Ordered a small and received an x-small. Not a cage that you can just grab the handle and transfer your pet. Looks like the handle would break off. Sending the cage landing on the ground. This might work for a puppy or a kitten.

This crate is perfect for travel—lightweight, easy to carry with the top handle, and collapsible if needed. The one-dial door operation is simple and convenient, and I appreciate the solid bottom with vent holes at the top. We switched from a metal crate because our dog is a chewer and would bite anything within reach. This design eliminates that issue, making it a fantastic choice for our 30lb Miniature American Shepherd. Couldn’t be happier!
