The microphone worked well when I used it for a webinar. The sound quality was better than expected for the price.It provided value for money and was easy to carry around due to its compatibility.

In use they are very simple to set up. I do however wish they provided a lightning to USB-C converter so that the mics can be used with the newer iPhone. Its not a big deal as the adaptors are pretty cheap and easily available but it’s a daft omission.When the receiver is plugged into the phone and the microphone turned on the mics worked straight away. I can hear no issues with the clarity of speech personally for this price point. The box to keep all the mics in is very handy. I quite like this set of 4 mics and am happy to recommend them if you have Apple / iPhone products.

The sound quality really is a step up when comparing it to my built-in iPhone microphone.So easy to use, just plug in the receiver into the bottom of your phone press it on buttons on the microphone and you are ready to go, it really is as simple as that. The sound quality really is impressive and the supplied box which also charges the microphones is very good quality too. The whole package looks great and the performance is great.All in all I am really impressed with the value of this product and I’m very happy to recommend it.

Horrendous sound reproduction quality/issues !!What's in the box?4 x Boya BY-V4U Wireless Lavalier Microphones4 x Foam Wind muffs (already on microphones1 x Boya BY-V4U Wireless Lavalier receiver1 x Charging case1 x sheet of microphone labelling stickers1 x USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable1 x User ManualBuild qualityThe build quality on the Boya BY-V4U Wireless Lavalier Microphones and its charging case was excellent, and in my opinion, was really solidly built, but its receiver wasn't as good as the rest, and I noticed that the on/off toggle switch was very poorly done.Material qualityAgain, the materials used (plastic) on both the microphones and charging case were excellent, and in all honestly, pointed to the more premium quality plastic used than the cheaper plastics that are normally used in this type of microphones and charging case.Sadly, after doing over 12 hours worth of testing and trying to solve and fix these issues, these microphones failed miserably when it came to the sound reproduction quality and were one of the worst that I've ever experienced as a YT Tech reviewer.This issue that I was experiencing was that after 5 seconds of the recording, the sound quality just deteriorated massively, starting off with little dropouts and then resulting in not even being in sync with my voice (watch my very quick video to see what I mean).As I'm a YT Tech reviewer, I tested these out with a large range of different Android phones and tablets, and I also included the test with the iPhone 15 since this had USB-c, and all had the exact same results after doing test recordings with the Boya BY-V4U.I've got some microphones that look very similar to these Boya BY-V4U, which only cost me £15.98 (for just 2 microphones/receiver and had no charging case), and these done far, far better with no issues that the Boya BY-V4U presented.My second issue that I didn't like was that the microphone itself hung from my T-shirt and seemed very top-heavy (again my cheaper look-alike didn't do this as much as the Boya BY-V4U microphones did, and in all honestly these needed to have a magnet of some kind that would have helped out and helped eliminated the microphone pull on my T-shirtSadly, there really wasn't much point in myself doing the distance test, battery life test, and the other tests that I would normally do with microphones that had major sound quality and reproduction issues that the Boya microphones presented, especially since it already wasted over 12 hours to resolve these issues.Sadly I can not recommend the Boya BY-V4U microphones, and in all honestly, I feel put off in buying anything labelled Boya again, after this experience.2 stars were only given for excellent build and material quality... so 2 out of 5 stars from me.Very disappointed!!
