Granted I just got them today so anything could change, but compared to other readers I've bought, these seem well made. The arms are mounted on flexible hinges (they bend backwards without breaking) and are constructed of a light metal. The lightweight plastic lenses are about the smallest I've found (which I wanted) and the glasses can actually be all the way on your nose while still allowing you to look over the frame without moving your head. They come in a nice crush-resistent case too. I see that the price has changed on these a few times since I've been looking at readers. I got them for $6.99 and they're a steal at that price - especially if you get free shipping. I will update this after I've worn them a while. For now, recommended.UPDATE a couple of weeks later: I wish I would have noticed the reviews about the nose pieces because I would have paid more attention to the glasses everytime I put them on or took them off. Sure enough, about two weeks later, I realized a nose-piece had fallen off when the glasses started slipping down my nose. I have no idea when or where the nose-piece fell off so I don't have it to glue back on. Bummer because I do like the glasses. Changed the rating from 5 to 4 because of this.

These are clear & work much better than my $300.00 RX glasses, only problem is I need bi-focals 300/100 and so I have to buy two of the newbees & keep switching back & forth. Don't know why you can't buy bi-focals w/o RX - makes no sense to me since you can buy 2 pair of glasses anywhere & switch back & forth. I would gladly pay newbee $100.00 if they would sell bi-focals. I have purchased maybe 10-12 pairs of newbees as I am extremely rough on glasses.

Love the weight of the glasses however I don't use them as there are no pads on the section that fits over your nose and it makes my nose sore. IT seems like they are not complete, so the 3 stars only.

The first pair of these worked fine and arrived as expected. The case is a tight fit and isn't very useful to me but the glasses slip easily into a shirt pocket. They are very serviceable and only about .8 inches tall so you can easily look over the top of them when viewing things farther away and through them when looking at materials on your desk. I bought another pair at the same time, but didn't have quite as good a result. The vendor initially sent the wrong strength, even though the packing slip showed the proper value for each pair. The vendor did work to make things right. They requested I send a photo of the wrong pair and after receiving it sent a replacement pair. Unfortunately, while the replacement pair was the correct magnification, the nose piece was not centered properly. I did not give the vendor a chance to respond to this because it was easier to just bend and cut the nose piece to work - however, I think most folks would not have the tools to do this. The quality of these glasses is unpredictable, but not terrible, thus the three stars. If I could rate the vendor performance separately, they would get four stars for quickly responding, but they still need better quality control.

Updated; I need to increase the rating on this product from 2 stars 4 stars. The two star rating was for the reasons below. However, I contacted the seller about my problem and within a couple of days they had sent me replacement cushions. Great glasses for the money and very fast customer service.Original post. Everything I expected - except; the little rubber cushions that rest on the bridge of your nose fall off. They are not secured with a screw like some models, so they fall off after awhile. Once this happens, the glasses are useless. After the rubber pad falls off you will be left with a pointy metal post that jabs at the side of your nose. 2 stars because the lens and frame are what I would expect, minus 3 stars because my glasses are usless after only 3 1/2 months of use.
