Posture support
This is an interesting item, designed to help with correcting bad posture and eliminating back pain. It’s very easy to put on, just follow the instructions in the enclosed leaflet, and away you go!It feels a bit strange at first, with the two support braces built into the back section, but after a while it’s barely noticeable. Something like wearing a very lightweight rucksack or backpack. As with all of these devices, it is a long-term thing so I cannot give an opinion as to whether it actually works, but I can honestly say that it does feel OK to wear and anything that helps towards keeping a good posture and stopping back injuries has to be a good thing.I am wearing it as I write this review and I find that I’m not slouching in my chair as much as I usually would, so it’s working already!

Straight as an arrow!
I picked this up to help with my back and shoulder pain which is probably from years of poor posture and sitting at desks. Overall, it's a decent budget option that does provide some relief, but it's not without its flaws. The good: It's adjustable and can accommodate different body types, which is nice. The straps allow you to tighten or loosen it to your desired level of support. And it does actually help pull your shoulders back into better alignment when worn correctly. The material is lightweight and breathable enough to wear for extended periods. The bendable support bar in the back doesn't dig in too much, though it can get a bit uncomfortable after a while (instructions recommend you wear it for 45 mins). In terms of posture correction, it definitely makes you more conscious of your slouching habits. Wearing it acts as a constant reminder to sit up straight and avoid that hunched over position that leads to back pain. However, there are a few downsides to note. First off, it takes some getting used to - the feeling of being pulled back can be a bit unnatural at first. There's definitely an adjustment period. The fit also isn't perfect. Despite ordering the a large size, I found the straps could dig into my shoulders a bit, especially if I had it tightened for maximum support. Loosening it helped, but then it didn't provide as much correction. It's not the most discreet option either. While the design is relatively low-profile under clothes, you can still see the outline of the brace, especially across the back. I'd only wear it at home.So in summary - it does help improve posture to some degree and can provide back/shoulder relief when worn consistently. But it's not the most comfortable or precise fit, and may take time to get used to. For the price though, it's a decent starter option if you're looking to retrain your posture habits.

Feels rigid though not sure of effectiveness, also a little tight under the arms
I sit at a desk all day and I know my posture is rubbish - likewise my shoulders always ache and so do my joints so I should probably just stop doing desk-based work! Anyway, this posture brace came up and I thought it was worth a try - it reminds me a bit of a baby carrier or high capacity rucksack although less heavy. According to the sizing chart, I should have gone XL due to my height, but I am 5'10" and slim so went with L which seems to be fine. After adjusting the waist belt and shoulder straps, it felt supportive but after a while I could feel the straps digging in and becoming uncomfortable under my arm pits - there is padding but it just doesn't feel right. I wore it for 20m as recommended and it did feel like it was holding my more upright as when I took it off, it felt like my muscles had stopped working - I don't know if that's a bad thing - presumably you don't want to be wearing this forever and it's merely a means to correct posture and then stop using it? At around £20 it doesn't seem to be bad value though I'd be curious to understand what a physio makes of it...

Well designed and adjustable; definitely beneficial for anyone with a bad posture
I have always suffered from a bad posture, particularly when I'm sat down, either in the chair in the office, or on the sofa at home. I tend to slump, which is a worry the older I get.I've tried support cushions before, but have found that they aren't necessarily the best solution. So when this support brace became available, I was very keen to try it out.The only size available was XL, which I am not, so fit is not perfect, however it is adjustable with the straps, so it is possible to get it to fit me pretty well.Once all the straps have been suitably tightened and cinched, you can feel the brace pulling your shoulders and spine into a much better alignment. It is quite a subtle method - it's not a harsh adjustment, rather a firm, but kind, pulling and straightening in all the right places. The information leaflet enclosed suggests wearing the brace for shorter times to begin with, starting at 20 minutes at a time, then gradually increasing it the more your body adjusts to it. I think this is absolutely the best way, as it is changing your posture into a position that it won't necessarily be used to. I did find that after about 30 minutes, it does get a little uncomfortable, so I was grateful for this break.I have worn this when sat on the sofa at home, where I tend to slouch the most, so this acts as a great reminder to keep sitting up straight. As aforementioned, it is not so harsh as to give you no option but to sit up straight - it is a reminder and persuader, which I feel is very good at this price point.I have not really suffered any pain, so I cannot comment on the pain relief this can give.Time will tell whether this will have any long term benefits. As with anything like this, it will be a case of continuous and consistent use that will reap the most rewards, rather than being used for a quick fix.Overall, this is effective, well made, very adjustable and a good price.

Seems to help
This was good my friend who suffers from posture issues. He was unsure at first but now seems to believe it is helping him. It looks like it's helping him stand straighter. Price is good when thinking about benefits. He would recommend to others
