This is a good gadget fun to use ,Get the kids involved too make the paper bricks .After the bricks have been made they need too dry out well before use ,make them in the summer months to use for the winter .

The bricks are easy to make although my husband does have to use brute force to squash the excess water out. Almost a week later the bricks are no dryer. However, having read other reviews it can take three months for them to dry. Therefore, they should be ready by the end of July which will cover us for August and September. One thing I failed to think of was where to put them to dry. We have a double shed and a large bike store but they are full so for us its a problem.Would I buy it again? Probably not! However, now I have it I will try to use it and maybe buy a big plastic box to store them in once dried.

End to end process takes a fair bit of time.. soaking paper, packing it then drying it for use.. but it's effective, economic and does it's bit for the environment ;-)

This was good for six months. Then it started bending out of shape. I did not realise I was so strong. A friend straightened it out and then I got bored with making newspaper bricks and threw it away.

Yes, it kind of makes briquettes, but the handles cut into your hands and the metal sides buckle under pressure. I ended up having to make a wooden frame for it to fit into, covers for the handles and wooden platform for the top. It would have been easier just to make a wooden version of it myself !! When this gives up, and it looks like it will not be long, then I will make one myself !!

This is one of the best item ever. We recycle the newspaper and once dry they burn for ages , saving money and fuel. A sturdy and clever design and at a REALLY competitive price.
